Happy Wrinkles

Benjamin

Baby Benny's wrinkles are doing much better since we cleared up that yucky yeast infection. Since we found out about his infection, Benny has been on a daily face cleaning regimen and he is a much less itchy boy. It's not easy being so handsome wink

When I read that this post was titled “Happy Wrinkles”, I knew that it was gonna have Baby Benny in the spotlight.  So glad that those wrinkles have cleared up for you, itchy yeasty beasties are no fun for pugs.  Abby used to get those too, and I really had to stay on top of the wrinkles with frequent cleanings with the Malacetic wipes.

It may not be easy (sorry Benny), but for your fans, it is soooo worth it!

Good point Nancy!  BTW, perhaps we could each have Benny shipped to us for a week and massage those nasty old “stinkles” of Benny’s.  I’d be first in line.  I have never seen a pug whose winkles were so luxurious.  Sorry your beauty is a problem for you Benny.

Gina, you asked about Georgie the other day.  Other than his high hopes, Georgie seems to be taking life in stride (no pun intended and Sue VDB, I hope you don’t have a mouthful of coffee when I said that.)  I think we are coming to the end of the ‘heat’ cycle with Taco Breath so off to the vet with her in the new year.  Georgie’s vet appointment yesterday went well, his UTI is nearly cleared up (and hopefully WILL stay that way), 4 pills twice a day for another couple of weeks and then we’ll wait and see.  Last vet visit I questioned you all as to probable cost of an MRI, this visit the vet mentioned that an MRI and surgery could be as much as $10,000.  I should have kept my mouth shut, my husband had to have smelling salts.

Have a great weekend, kids.  Happy shopping.

Benny, your wrinkles are so wonderful and smooshy;  wish I could give you pug hugs and kisses.
Huckle, sorry about the bad news regarding the MRI;  maybe there’s a way to treat Georgie without all that expense.
Hope everyone has a great weekend.

Huckle—-Meiling needed an MRI and emergency gall bladder surgery this summer.
The bad news is that it did cost $10,000.+————-The good news is that she lost 10 pounds,
acts like a puppy (she’s 13 ) and is in really good shape!  Hopefully, Georgie does not
need to have any surgery ( not sure what kind) and he will be fine! Hoping for the best!

You tease us with those wrinkles sweet one.

Nancy, didn’t you just about faint?  Or, were you prepared ahead of time for the cost?  Thank you for the well wishes for Georgie!

Just looking again at Benny makes me smile!

Huckle——Didn’t have time to faint——Meiling wouldn’t eat (she eats anything and everything)
and was vomiting bile. We rushed her to her Vet who took an ultrasound and told us if we did not get her to a nearby Animal Hospital——-she would not make it!  Three hours later on a Friday night Meiling was in a five hour surgery having her Gall Bladder taken out.
We had just inherited Meiling from my dad who had passed away and we were determined to do anything to save her!  I was really glad I had a credit card with a high limit!!!

Nancy, I’m sorry about your dad.

Who would have guessed the bill would be so high.  As long as you have your credit card out, perhaps I could use it as well?  :-0

Does Meiling’s name mean anything?  I’ve never heard it before but I like the sound of it rolling off your tongue..

Huckle-

Meiling means pretty in Chinese———my mother named her because she really is cute———
Meiling looks a lot like the lovely Luna.

P.S. Meiling helped me max out my credit card——Ha! Ha!
