Looks like a good time was had by all. The pugbunnies are too cute for words. Hope everyone had a great Easter. We went a little overboard.. hid 6 doz eggs for 4 little boys. It was fun watching the Easter egg hunt.

don’t tell me this gang is going to be bandits?  Why else would they wear a kerchief?  Luna the decoy, Henry just heads for the vault, and Benny, on his way to help Henry stops for a “winkle wub” from one of the tellers.  No matter what this gang is adorable, and so cute “dressed” alike..

This photo really shows how petite little Miss Luna is.  I know that she is, but I think I sometimes forget that she’s a little pocket pug!

I fostered one even smaller than Luna and it was crazy how tiny she was.

Very nice picture of the Easter gang.

Speaking of Bunnies, I was talking to a lady last week when Abby and I were out for a walk (said lady was admiring my elderly girl’s gorgeousness….), and the lady was telling us how her daughter has a Bug (pug crossed with a Boston terrier dog) and that this “Bug” is called….are ya ready???  Name is Bunny smile

pug mama, great story about Bug Bunny.  Thanks for sharing.

I knew this was coming.  Romeo had his rabies vaccination, wellness test and heartworm test today.  He weighed in at a whopping 26.2 lbs.!!!  Not a happy day, so while I fed him a measured amount twice a day, it has been decreased by 1/4 cup a day, and later by another 1/4 cup, meaning he will get 1/2 cup total food.  Plus I can give him veggies.  He’s not going to be happy, but I want a healthy pug, especially now that he is 12 years old. I know I can stick to it, but wish Romeo luck so he gets used to a decrease in his Wellness Super5 Mix food.  I will be sure to give him portions of green beans, carrots, etc.

Oh Sue VDB….it’s so hard isn’t it. I thought I was doing good with Pip but I know he is not loosing any weight. I’m almost afraid to weigh him. ugh. He doesn’t understand why he isn’t getting as much food but I have to do it for his health. argh. Maybe Romeo and Pip should exchange emails so they can discuss this together and support eachother. smile

Sue VDB and Gina, Abby is on a diet too, cuz she was pushing 24 when we were at the vet in early March for her heartworm stuff, etc.  She is a tall and long put, but no doubt she is still carrying a couple too many.

It is so hard with her being an older pug (13) with poor tolerance of exercise anyways cuz of her poopy trachea, she is eating way less food than it even says for target weight on the bag of diet dog food.  I had switched her to a natural food, after an issue with Iams cropped up, but now she is eating 50% of the FROMM, and 50% of the Royal Canin calorie control diet.  Poor poor puggies on a diet, that is the worst four letter word there is for a puggy that loves to eat :(

Pug Mama ~ It is hard and diet is a naughty word to them! I would guess that Pip is about 25 pounds. I measure out his food and then give green beans to help fill him up. But with him being on his meds, it makes him think he is starving. Poor dear. He begs and begs. I try not to give in but I have to be strong. We will add Abby to the email list so she can offer support and receive it too. smile

Gina-diet is a bad word for ME too!  CJ and Toeby both weigh 26 lbs but the vet has never said they were too heavy…

Gina

04/26/2011

Karen B ~ very bad. smile  I guess it’s the size of the dog…maybe some are smaller or shorter. But Pip is like a sausage. His belly is hard. He has his check up soon so we will see what the doc says. smile

Gina, maybe I should look into this weight thing and back off on the Cheerios!

Gina

04/26/2011

No Karen….If your vet hasn’t said anything, I wouldn’t be worried. My vet HAS said something but I keep giving in to Pip’s sweet face. smile
