Gus, Be Good!

Henry

Once upon a time, I used to leave the house to go to work. It was when the boys were puppies & to help them burn off some of their puppy energy we used to take them to doggie day care once a week. Unlike a lot of their classmates, once a week was all they needed. They came home pooped. Taking them more than once a week would have been more than they could handle.

It worked out good for us & the boys really seemed to like going to school to play. That is of course on days when Gus wasn't there. Gus, was a Dachshund that terrorized Henry. I got the impression that Gus gave a lot of dogs trouble, but Henry always seemed to be Gus's desired target. The phrase, "Gus, be good!" was frequently heard at the doggy day care center. To this day, if you utter those words, Henry will look around for the little terror.

So when I was scanning in photos of the boys in the snow, I came across a few pictures taken while they were at doggie day care by their "teacher". Gus, is the dog in the bottom right corner of the picture below. What I love about the picture is that Henry is glancing back to Benny saying, "I've had it with this hot dog! I'm going to pummel him, ya got my back?"

Here are a few other shots of the boys at doggie day care.

The boys looks so young and little!  What darling puppy pictures.  Poor Henry, being bullied by Gus.  I’m glad Benny had his back smile

I don’t think Henry likes it at all that Gus is staring at him.  Is that Henry’s safety chair in the bottom picture?  Poor Henry.  Aren’t they all lucky that Mommie now works at home.

Looks like,in the last pic that Benny is “taking it to Gus"Benny:“Leave my bro alone or you will be one well done weiner-got it?” Gus: “Yeah-I’m cool-no more messing with Henry”. Love the pics!Pug-hugs from the Colorado 3

These are classic, I love them!  What cute little boys they were.  It also looks like Henry claimed that chair to be his own.  Too cute!

These pictures are sooooo sweet!  They’re like the boys’ preschool pictures : )

I hope before the boys left daycare Benny and Henry taught that Gus to leave Henry alone.  I doubt it though, pugs are lovers not fighters!  I do love Benny’s expression in the picture where he’s staring a hole right through Gus.

Corrine, Any comments about the massive snow storms up in your old neck of the woods?  I saw a photo online of some poor woman digging her car out of the snow up in Maryland.  Are you just giggling behind your hand???

Sleighbelle - My parents, who are north of Baltimore, have been keeping me updated.  They say they have never seen this much snow before.  The storms have not been record storms, but they have come so close together that it has amounted to a whole lot of snow.  Major interstates have been impassable and Baltimore went into Phase 3 of their emergency plan yesterday which bans all non emergency vehicles from the road.  There is so much snow they are running out of places to put it.  Luckily, my parents are doing well.  They are not going anywhere but they are good.  Everyday, my mom asks me what my temperature is in FL and when I tell her 60 something she always has a few choice words for me grin

The east coast has received so much snow-having grown up on Long Island-I know a little snow can cause big issues-with no place to put the snow. How are all the puggies doing? Are they able to get out ok? we get snow here, but the snow usually melts on the streets by noon. Pug-hugs to all eastern puggies from the COlorado 3

OBP, Thanks for the update on your folks and the snow.  Yikes!  Here is north Texas we have about 2-3 inches of true snow on the ground and we are expecting up to 5-8 inches.  Nothing compared to the northeast, but for us it is HUGE!  And we seldom have snow, usually we get the dang ice and sleet.  So, we are all rather enjoying it!
Everyone stay warm and dry!! And Sleighbelle?  She didn’t let that white stuff bother her one bit this a.m., she’s out messing around without a worry in the world!  Silly pug!
