Good Sign

Benjamin

It is always a good sign that the pugs had a fun weekend when their harnesses end up in the wash on a Sunday evening.

I’m looking for good signs too. Bijoux has been sick for over a week and visits to the vet and medications haven’t helped. It looks like she’ll be going to Knoxville to UT Vet Hospital for some tests to find out what exactly is going on with her breathing. Awfully worried about my baby girl.

That’s a beautiful profile shot of Baby Benny.  Glad it was a good weekend.

Trina,  I hope things go well for Bijoux.  Good luck with her trip to UT.

Benny looks like he had a great week-end! Trinia-The girls(Beauty & Daisey)& I are praying for you & Bijoux! Beauty is now back from her summer vacation-she is as live a wire as ever! Does anyone know when pugs start to calm down from the puppy stage?

Trina,
I am also sending up prayers for you and Bijoux.  I hope the docs at the Vet Hospital can figure out what is wrong with your precious pug.

Benny is thinking, I’m nekked, nekked I say.  No harness for me tonight!  I love the freedom!
Sleighbelle does not wear a harness around the house, she likes to be nekked…but she knows when I get the harness out that she is going on a road trip!

Trina,

We’re sending our thoughts and prayers too.  I hope Bijoux get betters quickly.

Pug hugs and kisses from Annabelle, Piper, Tessa, Marley, and Eve (and me too!)

Beautiful profile shot of Benny, and glad the puggers had such a good weekend.

Trina, our prayers are with you and Bijoux.  A special request has been sent to St. Francis, who has been busy at this household.  Please keep us posted.

Romeo is home.  I’m not sure who was happier to see one another.  He has one long nasty looking incision, has 3 different meds to take…antibiotics, pain meds and an acid reducer. He is so used to being on the sofa with me or to take a nap, I have no idea how I’m going to keep him off.  He, of course, is not to jump.  How do you keep a spoiled pug down?  I was told to crate him - ha.  He has not been in a crate since his previous owners crated him 16-18 hours a day, and I’m not about to put him through that trauma again.  Wish me luck.

Trina, you have my thoughts and prayers also!  My C.J. had his share of breathing problems at just a little under a year old. We made two trips from central California way down south to Fountain Valley, CA where they diagnosed him as having basically, inhaled these things into his airways called “saccules”.  Normally, they are outside of the airways but because of a pug’s velocity of air when they inhale he had actually sucked them into his airway and was coughing and choking all the time.  Two bronchoscopies later, he was fine.  It was very expensive and we had to make two trips a few weeks apart but C.J. was so young, we just sucked it up and felt like we had to fix our baby!  He does fine now.

Best wishes and I hope it’s nothing serious!

Sleighbelle, we were in sync on that one!  I was thinking “nekked” thoughts also!  LOL!

Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers regarding our Bijoux. She sounds like she’s fighting for every breath. One sign that she’s not well is that her tail is not curled, which only used to happen when you scratched her tummy. She’s never felt bad in all 18 months of her life. I miss all that manic puppy activity. Even the tiny poodle knows something ‘s wrong. Estee looks at Bijoux and “says” why don’t you play with me and chase me? I know in my heart she’ll be ok,it’s just hard to worry about her like this.

I noticed that you leave their harness on all the time. What kind did you get and where did you get them from? We have a similar looking one from our local Pet Store, but when Brandy wears it too long, it rubs her a little raw under one of her front armpit.

Boy an I ever rude.  Please forgive me.  In my excitement of getting Romeo home, I didn’t thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers and lovely comments.  I sincerely appreciate every one of them and I hope you all forgive me for my neglect.  They mean a lot to me.

Sue VDB, no harm done!  You simply had other things on your mind and it’s VERY understandable!  Take care and I hope the little guy is doing okay!

Wow, Sue VDB, I had missed out on Romeo’s problems, being so busy lately and getting behind in my reading.  I’m glad he’s home ok and recouperates quickly.

Trina, I hope things go well for Bijoux.  Drive safely.

As for a good weekend, there was harness washing here, too on Sunday.  We had a meetup that day.  17 pugs. 3 were under 6mths.  PUPPIES!  lol

We hope all the pug mom’s & dad’s who have a pug with illness that all will be well in no time. Beauty is high pug-pup energy, but she is healthy and I will live through the pup time being thankful and not upset with her! Hope all goes well with your pug babies!
