Flashback Friday

Benjamin

This flashback is from November, 2003.

Not only did Henry have a favorite cat toy, Benny had one as well. Benny's favorite was plastic cylinder with a toy mouse inside. The mouse was on an elastic string inside the cylinder. The string was shorter than the cylinder so you had to get a hold of the mouse and pull it to get it out of the cylinder.

Benjamin obsessed with getting that mouse out of the plastic container. He would contort his body in hopes to get a better angle.

Benjamin

He would peek through the holes in the sides in hopes of figuring out a new plan of attack.

Benjamin

But most of the time, he would try to shove his flat put nose in the cylinder and try to grab hold of the mouse.

Benjamin

If only he had a snout!

My initial thought upon seeing the first picture in the series was that Benny was celebrating Passover with a thoughtful reading of the Torah scroll.  Even though it appears he was only pondering the best way to attack a cat toy, I still ascribe higher intentions to a pug of obvious superior insight.  Happy Pesach, Benjamin!

Go Benny!!  Meiling attacks her kong with the same determination and with the famous
Pug tongue she is able to get to the liver paste———hopefully, Benny has success too!!
Great Flashback Friday Pics!

What a hoot! What concentration.  What a smart Benny right from the start.

Abby wars update…Abby had been lounging on a pillow in bed when Georgie came and lay down next to me.  She zeroed in on him so fast I could only watch and it made me think of someone who would go up to a person, stick their arms out and shove another in the chest.  It was exactly what Abby did with Georgie.  He lay down, she got up and came toward him as he lay next to me and literally shoulder-shoved him away from my side and kept pushing until he just got up and went elsewhere.  I know it’s been over three years (already?) so she should be over the shock of not being the only pug, but there are these “happenings” every once and awhile.  I told her she shouldn’t have done it, nice pugs just don’t, but I saying that was more for Georgie’s sake than hers.  I didn’t want him to think I was siding with her ill mannered temperaments, but even he must understand that Abby only complies when Abby wants to.  Georgie’s such a good-hearted individual that he doesn’t let things like this bother him.  If it were me, I’d still be pouting.

Have a great Easter holiday kids.

Priceless pictures of Baby Benny.  Did he ever get the mouse?

Huckle, Annie is not quite as aggressive, but if Missy is on my lap Annie will just flop above her on my chest.  I’m sure it must be quite a sight to see Frankie on my legs, Missy on my lap and Annie on my chest.  It’s a good thing Shadow and Snorky (fish), or Sunny and Casper (my new Easter parakeets) can’t come aboard or I would surely be a burrito.

BTW, where does puffy fit in all this?

Sue VDB, that’s a great chuckle.  I can just picture it but it would be funnier to see in person as everyone hops (it’s Easter) aboard.  Sounds like you’ve got quite a crew.

Ann’s comment at the top of this thread is one of the funniest things I’ve ever read!
