Error In My Ways

Benjamin and Luna

When I am working in the kitchen, I always feel like I am moving the pugs because they are in my way. When dinner is being made the pugs are always sitting on the black rugs in the kitchen supervising me. When I need to get in the pantry one of them is usually on the rug in front of the pantry door. The same goes for the fridge or when I need to open the oven door.

After looking at this picture, I see that it's totally my own fault. The rugs are all in front of things that I need to use. I bet if I lined the rugs up down the center of the kitchen there would be no pugs in front of the things I needed to access. Silly me. Clearly, the pug are not going to lay on the, gasp, tile floor!

I have a similar kitchen and mat scenario. Since Meiling is blind, I am careful not to move things——-if I do——Meiling sits on my feet!!! Pugs are never to far from the food action—-
Just like your guys—-really cute!!!

Every pug knows you don’t want to put your tushie on a cold tile floor, rather than a nice warm rug!!  grin  (unless its summertime, that is!)

Where’s Henry off to?  You can’t blame any of them.  They are just waiting for a dropped tidbit or two.  Pugs are pretty smart that way.

My girls are pretty good-rug by the sink where the warm air vent is-evidently a must in cool Colorado! Pug hugs from pastor sue & the Colorado

Sounds like a good idea, Corinne, but then you’d be stepping OVER them every time you go from stove to sink and back! That wouldn’t work with Lucy, she follows me to every spot, rug or not, listening closely in case I say “Ooops” and watching my feet to see where the “oops” dropped on the floor so she can gobble it up!

you should try it see what happens my cuddles is my shadow dosent matter if a rug is there or not he wants to be right at my feet no matter where I am
Corrine I have a question how do you keep the black rugs from all the pug fur?

Not only do I have 3 pugs underfoot in the kitchen but I have 4 young cats that love to flop down right in front of you. I do a lot of shuffling.

I am constantly treading lightly around my kitchen, you know how it is, standing at the kitchen sink with a pug between your legs…etc. I got to give you credit though for having black rugs with three fawn pugs! I match my rugs to my pugs!

The rugs definitely require a lot of work to keep clean, but even then they still have fur on them.  The wand attachment on the vacuum gets most of the pug hair, but the pug fur seems to get woven into the rug.  The only way to get those out is to pick them out one by one!
