Enjoying the long Weekend

Luna waiting to get out of the pool

Memorial Day Weekend was a lot of fun this year.  I really enjoyed having the extra day off and we got a chance to do a lot of things this weekend.  We did some work around the house, took a little day trip, relaxed, and swam in the pool.  Luna tested the waters again and she did really well.  While she was swimming we tried to teach her that if she wants to get out she needs to swim to the steps.  She caught on pretty quick.  She would swim over and stand with her hind paws on the top step and her front two paws on the edge of the pool.  She would not jump out herself.  Instead she would just wait for someone to give her a little extra boost with their hand before she would hop out of the pool.

I just think pugs in water is the funniest thing.  Frank loves the sprinklers.  They go on automatically so we forget when they go on.  Frank will sometimes mysteriously come in soaking wet and muddy.  Very frustrating and messy.

Too funny!  Henry loves the sprinklers too.  If he spots any running when we are out on a walk he insists on running through them.  Benjamin and Luna, on the other hand, try so hard to avoid them.

Your pug is too cute in that life jacket!  My black pug Myles loves to have a bath, but I never thought of letting him get in a pool.  One question….does your pug’s eyes get irritated from the chlorine in the pool?  Both of my pugs have had multiple eye ulcers.

That is cute! Your dog Luna is kinda spoiled, considering you got her a pool, lounge chair, and a comfy bed JUST as a ‘Welcome to your new home’ sort of thing. I admire that! =)
