Crumb Snatcher

Benjamin looking for crumbs

When we leave the house we crate the pugs.  Benjamin & Henry share a crate and Luna has her very own crate located right next to the boys’.  Before we leave, we give the pugs a go to bed biscuit which the boys chow down.  Luna, on the other hand, takes here sweet time and usually ends up breaking her treat up into a thousand little pieces.  She gets most of the pieces, but she doesn’t clean things up quite to Benny’s standards.  So from time to time, I find Benny sneaking into Luna’s crate searching for crumbs.

And here he is sneaking his way back out.

Very funny.  Romeo is a crumb snatcher.  If there is food around he hovers waiting for someone to drop ANYTHING.  When I’m in the kitchen preparing food, there is Romeo, again waiting to see if I drop anything.  I call him Superman because he is faster than a speeding bullet.

Mr. Skittles will sit in a corner of kitchen, against the cupboards, nearest to me, waiting for the tinest morsel of whatever I am preparing to fall.  We call him “Hoovinator”, as he will hoovinate till all crumbs are gone!!
Hope you all a good halloween!!

It must be a pug thing!  Sleighbelle can sniff and snort around and find crumbs that Sherlock Holmes could not find!  A pug and a crumb, it’s a beautiful thing!

Yes, C.J. and Toeby love to look for morsels!  If there is a crumb or wayward kernel of popcorn under the couch or chair, they will scratch and dig at the tile until someone moves the furniture so they can get to it!

Instead of crumb snatchers, we prefer “morsel munchers”!  They’re all too funny!

I’ve had to work hard to make Bennie stop charging and gobbling whatever falls on the floor, because he is indiscriminate about what he gobbles.  Could be one of my vitamins or it could be a spider or anything else.  He didn’t care, if it fell, he would charge it and eat it.  We have an agreement now:  if he waits for the okay, he gets it if it’s food.  And if it isn’t and he’s good and waits, he gets a treat.

My mom’s dog licks the indent on the stove drawer (the handle part) to check for crumbs. He and his sister eat kibbles in their bed and Indy goes nuts digging for crumbs when we go over!!

My husband claims I don’t clean the floors, our four girls do!  They’re especially assiduous in the kitchen!
