Cranky

Benjamin

The summer heat here in Florida is making Baby Benny cranky. See Benny is a pug that likes his routine and the heat is wreaking havoc on his routines. His 5pm walks have been cut to just a short trip to the mailbox and he can't go for his long evening walk until the sun has set. None of these things make for a happy Benny.

It really is funny how disruptions in his routine cause him to mope around the house. By the way he acts, you'd think he missed Wapner at 11.

Oh Benny, I’m so sorry your routine is being disrupted…You’ll just have to find some fun in the comfort of the AC darling!  That pic is so heavenly….handsome handsome boy!!!

We hear you Benny!  The heat has my puggers all messed up too…and me too for that matter!  And I tend to be a bit cranky myself smile  Hang in there Baby Benny!

PS: I love your wonderful wrinkles on your cute little face smile

Mom When does it cool off again? I just don’t know how much more a pug can take! Where’s the air conditioning? Can’t we just turn it on out here too? Stay cool Benny!

Corrine, “wapner at 11” that cracked me up!!
Pugs are like that though.  And if things get changed up, they have no problem telling you about it!
Benny, at least the changes and heat have not altered your good looks!

Corrien, you crack me up!  Wapner at 11:00…I love it!  Rainman is one of my favorite movies of all time!

Benny, chin up, cooler days will be here before we know it!

Sorry, Corrine!  I fat-fingered the spelling of your name!

Baby Benny, even as adorable as you are, you do look disgruntled.  Just remember it’s not Mom[‘s fault about the weather.  She is simply protecting you from the elements.

Corrine, “Wapner at 11” is so funny.  I love your sense of humor.

Poor Baby Benny! Bijoux is having the same problem. It’s one thing to nap in a morning sunbeam, but quite another to be out in the hot sun. Even the shady deck is too much. She can’t keep up with what the neighbor dogs are doing, and playing ball in the house just isn’t the same as the yard. They keep rolling under things and Mom is running out of balls! So Bijou is moping too.

I LOLed at the Wapner comment!

And I’ve noticed that when weather or circumstance disrupts our pug routine, Bennie seems to direct his attention to me as if I should correct the problem!

I loved the Whapner at 11 comment! How funny.
Maybe the Pugs would like a little vacation to the cooler breezes off of Lake Michigan here in Wisconsin! The high’s have been in the 60’s! That’s cool even for us. Love your pack of pugs.

Hahaha gotta go to kmart?

Tell me about it.. I have only 2 pugs but routine is huge! Same with one of my cats.. nothing can be moved around the house either, change is bad! lol

And that is a super cute picture of Benny!

I think your choice of “Pick of the Litter” and “Cranky” are the two opposites of pug life…sleeping so sweetly vs. pouting!

I can totally relate…the boys and i live in Miami and they keep looking out the sliding glass door so mournfully, yet the minute this awful heat hits their little puggy bodies they come scurrying back in to lie on the cool tile.  We no likey summertime in Miami!!

You are seriously not kidding.
Bentley, my boy, is SO depressed right now because it is too hot to go on walks. Unless we can get out of the house before 6 am, it is too hot for mama and baby to take the kids out… I feel bad, but I try to make it up to them by loving on them.. however, Bentley is SO depressed and it shows. Stupid AZ heat!

I love how you still call him Baby Benny. When we brought Olive home we nicknamed her “little one”, and even now at 24 lbs she’s still our Little One smile. Benny would love it here in Seattle, it’s been beautiful weather for puggies.

We call Ruby “OCD Dog” because she likes her routines too.  DH refuses to become a slave to HER routines, so ignores them.  Usually results in poop in the house though LOL.  I say, if she likes to take one trip out, eat her breakfast, then go out a second time then BIG DEAL.  Go with the flow.  Or pick up the poop and stop whining wink.
