Huckle I just brought Baxter home from the vets this morning his big incision got infected and opened up two weeks ago today so had to bring him back to the vets she thought it was best to keep him as one of my pugs Ollie kept trying to wash it we think maybe that is how it got infected so she put a drain in it and he stayed at the vets 11 days Jasper my other boxer was so depressed as he is so bonded with Baxter he would hardly eat and just moped around long story short he is home it is healing have to keep a cone on him which he hates and have to keep Ollie on a leash beside me so he wont go near Baxters incision this has been a night mare and besides all this Baxter developed a bad cough at the vet so on meds for it and praying none of the other dogs catch it thanks for asking

Disappearing Pugs?

Oh sue, how awful for you, Baxter, Jasper and Ollie.  Hope everything has turned the corner and on the road to recovery.

sue, what these guys put us through.  It would be so much better, for us, if we could just explain what is happening so we could be sure they understand we are doing our best.  And you are doing your best.  Tell Ollie to “cool it”.  (yeah, right, that’ll work.)  Our thoughts are with you.  At least Jasper should be feeling more secure.  Is the cough Baxter picked up Kennel Cough?

Huckle yes the cough Baxter got is kennel cough he is on Doxcyclinefor ten days it also can be catching to other dogs so I am praying and hoping the others don’t come down with it I have to put Neosporin on his incision twice a day also he seems to be doing better with the incision healing the cancer specilast said he is prone to mast cells and will probably get more

sue, I gather that ‘kennel cough’ is bad stuff.  Our groomer won’t even let the pugs’ nails be cut unless they have had their Bordetella shot when I bring them in for that.  Have you given Jasper and Ollie theirs as a preventative?  I don’t know what the incubation time of that is as far as prevention when one of them already has it.  Here’s hoping for the best for you sue and your babies.

Huckle out of the nine dogs only give Annabelle my peke the bordella as she goes to the groomers every seven weeks so I am hoping for the best with the rest
