Henry: Where are we Benny? What do you see? What kind of treats will Ma bring back?
Benny: Oh Ya, good treats Henry!! Good Treats!!
Two excited little boys by the look of things!!
“Hey food places oh boy"they seem to know places where the food is.
Look at those luxurious wrinkles down the Benster’s back! Oh, he is SO handsome!
Once again a song comes to mind: “Just Wishin’ and Hopin’ and Plannin’ and Dreamin’” - by the Look-OUTS!!!
Huckle: Hope Georgie is getting some relief. Had you ever tried acupunture for him? I’m thinking that was Sue VDB tried this for Romeo.
The boys are waiting for Mom to come out, hopefully with a treat for them.
Huckle: Sorry I forgot to give you well wishes for Georgie yesterday before I signed off. I hope he had a good vet’s appt. and today is a better day for him and for you.
Mary C. : Keep the songs coming; you hit the mark everytime with an appropriate song.
“Is she coming?! Is she coming?! Is that her?! Ok, it’s my turn! MOVE!!!!!!!!!”
So attentive! Where is Looney Tunes? Probably waiting patiently in the back seat. Waiting like a lady I’m sure.
Huckle ~ How is Georgie?!! Please update.
Pug Hugs from Bella & me
Hey Henry mom said she would be right back with lunch so where is she
Huckle how is Georgie doing? How did you make out at the vets we need a up date
Is it Aunt Laurie…I know she is coming down from DE…oh where is she?
“Okay, Benjamin, I need a break. Time for your watch to start.”
“Hey, that’s MY window!”
OK kids, thank you all for asking about Georgie. I am trying to find a vet acupuncturist in this area. For the time being, his pain will be managed with Previcox, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory med that will also help with pain. I felt so bad for him at the vet’s as the vet maneuvered his left shoulder quit a bit and also checked on the right shoulder. The r.s. does not have the degree of problem the left one does. He said l.s. is doing a lot of grinding and has noticeably gotten worse. Georgie was such a trooper through all this, never flinching, moving or whining. He just accepted what was done to him. Kind of like when I kept forgetting about him and leaving his enclosed in the bathroom in the dark when we first had him.
The vet said there are three ways to address this problem. Pain and anti-inflammatories, Eastern medicine (acupuncture, etc.), laser (although he was skeptical about laser benefits and surgery. I told him I was not comfortable about surgery being a possibility and he agreed. Not only in relation to expense, time commitment {Ohio State Vet School is 2 hours away) and there would be many trips there and said they might not even touch the shoulder issue until he had the collapsing trachea operated on. The vet was enthused about that option, partly because he said they were into results by numbers for their scholarly writings. I think he was just being honest about that and may even himself be a graduate of OSU’s vet school.
In short (although this is long), not the best of news. We’ll just have to see where it goes. Exercise (non weight bearing) would be a really really good thing especially if it could be done under water. Hmmmmm, wonder if I could fill the bathtub up enough?
And that’s where Georgie stands (pun)! Thank you guys for asking.
Benny: You drive and I’ll direct. Hope Georgie gets some relief soon-prayers coming your way Huckle. Pug hugs from the Colorado 4
“is Luna STILL in there getting her pedicure?? When do we go to McDonald’s??”
Huckle, hope your Georgie is feeling better- prayers are going up for him!
“Henry, I have more wrinkles on my back therefor i am allowed to stick my head out of the window first”
MOVE OVER, you always get my order wrong!
Heh heh heh, I just love wolf whistling at the ladies in the supermarket parking lot! heh heh - look! Here comes one walking a puglette!!!!! heh heh -
OK…the guys are looking for Luna!!! Did she get left at home?
Hey mommy do not forget extra cheese on our chili dogs. And large cokes and ice cream for dessert. Easy on the carrots. We are on a diet.
Error: “The vet was enthused) should have been “the vet was not enthused” Where is my brain (don’t answer that!).
