It’s the pillow thing again, how sweet. Who could resist going up to him and giving him a big smooch?
Has anyone ever heard of this? Ruby Claire, now 8 months old, has never barked. Never, not even while playing. She has growled a little while playing with other dogs, but never a bark. Not that I’m complaining-I’m more curious as to why.
Kathleen - I remember a very young Mr. Skittles not being a barker, then one day he found his bark…
Really?! Really Mom?! Unbelievable!
Gorgeous Baby Benny!
Kathleen ~ My Pip didn’t bark for the longest time. He eventually found it. When we first got Bella, she didn’t bark at all either, she has since found her barker. While dogsitting other dogs, when they barked she realized, “hey. I can do that too.”
Prayers for Romeo and Sue VDB.
Pug Hugs to all from Bella & me
Mom, not again? Not the clicky thing while I’m trying to nap.
It is very touch and go with Romeo. Last night I was certain I was going to have to take him to the emergency vet and release him. I gave him a pain pill and it eventually knocked him out and he slept soundly. Then he doesn’t have as much trouble breathing. I don’t know why. I finally got to sleep around 3 am.
When I woke up he was zonked out. He woke up and as I was preparing his breakfast, he began barking to hurry me up. That’s my boy.
I got his leash just a few minutes ago to take him outside. He did a couple of twirls before we went out the door. He did his business and came in.
He is laying by my side, sneezing occasionally, but does not seem to be uncomfortable.
At 10:30 am I am giving him another pain pill. He will rest, and as long as he is quiet, he seems better.
Thank you all for your prayers, your good thoughts, your hugs, your love. There are no words to express my gratitude.
Love,
Romeo and his mom
XXOO
Wow, I can’t decide whether to go look for food or stay on this comfortable bed. Such choices! xxxooo
Huh? Wassat?
Whatcha looking at
Sue VDB glad to hear Romeo and you got some sleep and he wanted his breakfeast I think about you both a lot and keep saying prayers I feel we are one big puggy family and when one is happy we all are happy when one is hurting we all are hurting
What?? Oh, it’s just that clicky thing; I’m going back for ten more minutes, Mom!
Lots of prayers and good thoughts for Sue VDB and Romeo?
Really mom? The clicky thing again? What’s a guy gotta do around here to get a little nap? I know I’m a handsome devil but give it a rest, will ya? Sheesh!
Sue VBD, thank you for keeping us updated.
My prayers continue for you both.
(((((Sue and Romeo)))))
WOW!!! Romeo and Mom so glad the night went well!!! And breakfast GREAT!!!
MOM!!!! Why are you waking me up??? It is the one day I can sleep in more because the night changed!!
SUE VDB: Thinking of you and Romeo. Glad for the updates - and to hear he is eating and twirling. Lot’s of rest for you both and prayers that things continue to improve.
KATHLEEN: My Bella, also, has never been a barker. Made no sounds at all until she was over a year old and, for the most part, she just “puffs” at me to get my attention if she wants to go outside (unless she REALLY has to go!) or she sits and stares at me until I’m well aware that I’m remiss in offering her a treat!
“Well now, get out of my sunbeam.”
Kathleen, Yeah, that “puffs” is a perfect description. Abby does that if she thinks we need to go to bed, when she has to go outside and we’ve been remiss, or late at night. She’s very vocal on the subject.
Kathleen, the barking thing is interesting. I can’t get mine to shut up but it’s usually Cooper who starts the pugs off. Word of warning, don’t reward the bark. My husband thinking he is funny (NOT) encourages Abby to bark (and this little lady does not need encouraging. My husband barks, oh lord. Would you like me to send him to you?
Sue VDB,hugs, smooches and prayers are being sent your way. OBP does not let anyone down. We are here for you.
Thanks for the barking comments everyone. I have been owned by a few Pugs throughout the years and all have barked so that’s why I was concerned about Ruby Claire. My vet told me to be happy that she doesn’t bark. I have a Lab rescue who makes up for Ruby’s lack of barking.
Sue VDB: Romeo is so lucky to have you for his Mama.
What do you mean it’s time to get up? We just had breakfast! Pug hugs to all with special hugs & prayer to Sue VBD & Romeo from the Colorado $
Will ya turn out the light?? Geesh.
“Why are y’all bothering me while I’m trying to sleep?” Go away, puleeeze. ZZZZzzzzz…..
Can you changed the channel the baseball game is on and i am busy. Thankyou. Pugs are always polite except when it comes to food. Mess around and you might be missing a couple of fingers. Food is food mate.
aw i love this photo you are sweet.
Oh my gosh, what is going on? What is all the noise out there. Can you please keep it down? Oh, it is Springtime.
Yes, but I still need my sleep. Knock it off.
Pug Hugs and kisses from Mini Anderson Cooper and mom Elizabeth in NY~
