Caption This #217

Benjamin

Looking forward to your captions in the comments.

PS: For the curious, this crazy cone did not last long. A day tops and then it was back to the old school cone of shame.

“You can’t be serious”

*GIGGLE*  Oh Baby Benny, you are still as irresistable as ever even with your crazy contraption!  Hehehehe…the look on Ben’s face is just priceless, honestly…can’t stop giggling.  Love you Handsome boy!

Gina, hope precious memories of little Pip are keeping your soul warm…you are on my mind constantly.

Sue VDB, how’s our Mr. Romeo this morning?

It’s a beautiful thing, this OBP community we’ve created.  I love each and every one of you and feel so blessed to be a part of it all.

So I’m a little sloppy when I eat, but Mom, this is overdoing it!!!!!

Sue VDB

12/06/2011

Why me?  What did I do to deserve this?

Benny, you look so unhappy.  It looks as if this cone might have been a little more comfortable…?  Or is that why you are back in the old one?

Hugs to you this morning Gina.

Heather, Romeo astounds me…no problems, back to his normal self, except…more lovable.

He looks like he is on a cruise ship, practicing for an emergency disembarkation.  Emphasis on bark!!!

Heather

Jennifer - LMAO, great one!

Sue VDB - More lovable?!  Oooooo, I love it…sneak one smoocher in from me!  So happy to hear he’s back to normal, well except for the extra tolerance to lovin’.  How strage though, he sure does like to keep you on your toes!

“Which way to the life boat?”  - that one cracked me up right off the bat. Thanks: M&M

Benny- could you look any more put out?  Maybe your entire family (Cupid included) should wear blue collars along with you.  But then - you wouldn’t be “the special one” and I’ll bet you’re getting extra special care and attention, yes?

Benny’s cone reminds me of Rudy Vallee (from the “dinosaur days”) who sang the Whippenpoof Song with a megaphone:  “We are poor little lambs who have lost our way.  BAA-BAA-BAA”.  Maybe Ben should take up yodelling while wearing it.  A new X Factor contestant in the making.  You’d get my vote, Benny.

GINA you are in my heart-thoughts.

Mom please I cant go for a walk looking like this what will all my fans think

Sue VDB glad to hear Romeo is back to himself

Gina I made a donation to the humane society of tampa bay in memory of sweet pip I donate to the reguraly but I wanted to make a special one for Pip

Gina

Really?! Really Mom?!!!!

Love the look on his face. I guess since it’s still fresh in my mind, it looks like a boppy. You use a boppy to help feed a baby or to set the baby on it on the floor so their head is safely elevated (but not for sleeping). So after thinking ‘really Mom?!’ I thought it looked like a boppy. Hope you are feeling better soon Baby Benny.

Sue VDB ~ Glad to hear Romeo is his usual self again. I guess he was just keeping you on your toes. As if you need that right?!

Sue ~ That is so sweet of you to make a donation in Pip’s name. Means the world.

Still having a hard time of course. We will pick his ashes up today or tomorrow. Waiting for the vet to call. Thats not going to be easy but I want to have him home.

Love to you all!

Geez Mom, Tell me we ain’t going on the Titanic cruise! Now Benny, what did you do to get you ‘coned’? Hoping Gina you are starting to fell better and hope Romeo is ,too. Daisey (Boston) hurt her paw and was in terrible pain-the hold me kind. If not better today will need a trip to the vet. Pug hugs from the colorado 4

Everyone is so funny today, kind of like kids on the last day of school.  Without explanation, I would not have known what a boppy is.  Interesting.

I was working toward a donut hole but thought Benny wouldn’t see that as humorous either.

Sue states, good luck with Daisey.  I have to admit I kind of like it when they demand ‘lap time’.  Makes me feel worthwhile although having an “owey” to get it kind of ruins it.  Hope she’s back to hopping around soon.

I never heard of a bobby before either.  At first I thought GINA meant you put it around a baby’s head if they were sitting on the floor - in case they fell backwards, they wouldn’t bop their head!  I’ve only taken care of 1 baby (my son) - and was so terrified I would screw him up with my inexperience and klutziness.  I basically willed his baby-days by in such a hurry as I was too anxious to see him make it through to a talking toddler!  I’m sure if I would have had a cone laying around the house, I would’ve made him wear it!

This is Comedy Central today!  You people are hilarious.  Is there a funny bone fairy around here today?

Gina

12/06/2011

Huckle ~ I loved the boppy. I would say it’s ‘must have’ for all new Moms.

Mary ~ that really made me laugh about putting it around the kid’s head and having your kid wear a cone. Thanks. I needed that. smile

I agree with Sue VDB - I am cracking up over here.

Mary - you have me in stitches about “coning” (a new term! LOL) your son…

Sue states - I sure hope Daisy is better in a jiffy with no vet trips needed!!!

Hi All, Daisey is still favoring her paw but putting some weight on it. Will continue to monitor. She got tummy rubs-and she was lovin it! I expect , like me, she may take a bit to re-coop. As you get older it takes longer to heal. I have been LOL-ing and yes this must be comedy central today! Laughter is excellent medicine. Will keep every one posted. Pug hugs from the colorado 4

“Anchors Aweigh!”

Ahh, the puggy donut.  We got one of those for our Pugsley when he was neutered many years ago and used it when he had knee surgery.  It’s much easier for him to eat and drink with that than the doctor’s cone.Softer when he runs into stuff, too.

Gina, I’m so sorry for your loss.  Hoping precious memories are filling your heart to ease your sadness in the absence of Pip.

Gina

12/06/2011

Pug Mama ~ Thank you soooo much! The support I have received by everyone at OBP has helped me so much!

Huckle ~ Such a treat to talk to you today! Thank you so much for calling me! It’s like I’m talking to celebrities!

The vet called and Pip’s ashes were ready so I packed up the girls and went and got him. He is home now where he should be. When I walked in, all the people at the vet’s were so nice and smiling at me and saying how sorry they were. It was a sad shock to them as well. He was loved by everyone he met. Thanks again my OBP family. Hugs to you all!

Gina, Pip was loved by everyone he met, and loved by lots of us who hadn’t even met him!  I’m glad he’s back home.  You’re in my thoughts.

Gina, I have been out of the OBP loop and just learned about Pip.  I am so very sorry for your loss.  Loosing a furry angel is never easy and we are never ready.  Take peace in the knowledge that Pip had an amazing life and was loved beyond measure.  The Rainbow Bridge is a little sweeter with Pip over it.

Honest to god guys, I thought when i ran for it i had won the prize in the donut jackpot!

Not too sure this is what they meant by Dunkin Donuts!

Lol about the life boat.  I happened to find the different comfy cones here in town, so I don’t have to order one if i ever need one.  They are more like a regular cone but foam, soft and flexible.  I do like the look of this one though.  Benny you wear it well baby!

Speaking of babies, my brother’s little black male pug puppy came home last night. It has been a fun experience so far.  He also happens to be Lilo’s nephew by blood, which was a pure coincidence we only found out after he had picked him.  So we welcomed home baby Tux. He was given that name by the owners of the parents as he is all black, with the exception of this bright white strip on his chest.  It just fits so well, my brother won’t change it, although he will i’m sure also have lots of nicknames.  Presently i have dubbed him Little Stinker!  Whooooeeeeyyyyy…. how can something so small make such a smell.  I don’t ever remember Lilo being that ripe!

Love to all from Aunty Lilo and me

“When you said free doughnut… This isn’t what I had in mind!”

At least that is what my pug would be thinking.
