This is the animal world version of NASCAR.  Get up under ‘em and put ‘em in the wall!  Or in this case, put ‘em in the pumpkin!

Is that Benny or Henry?  I know the neighbor cat likes Benny, and so my first impression is Benny.  At any rate, that is one sweet picture, and I really don’t have a caption.

Just got back from the vet.  Minnie, who usually runs up the stairs stopped 3 different times this morning, and then she wouldn’t eat.  In the 9 years I have had her, I cannot recall an instance when she did not eat.  She was diagnosed with a “bug” and is on antibiotics and a hamburger/rice/egg diet tomorrow…nothing to eat today, plus meds twice a day.

I was devastated to find my vet, who was part of Welborn Pet Hospital for years in the footsteps of his father, is no longer there.  Welborn became part of VCA and I don’t like the changes.  He also has a dog park and daycare, so I have a call in to him.  I no longer want to go to that clinic, and I need to find out if he is practicing at all, or if he can recommend another vet.  I’m so sad.

How sweet…cats and pugs do well together. Hope they saw the “BLUE” pumpkin and took it home. Never saw one before but know these two love anything special.

I keep feeling out forms but so far no replies. It would help if the at least said NO to you.

Sue VDB, is Minnie a good patient or do you have peanut butter all over your walls.  That bug was sure sudden.  Any explanation from the vet on that? What about the others? Prayers that this gets cleared up and soon.

Minnie is an excellent patient…no problems at all.

Minnie is better tonight, not up to speed, but better.  All the vet said was she had inflamation and bacteria in her stool.  This was a brand new vet at the clinic, so not sure of anything at this point.  So far, and hopefully it stays that way, Romeo and Missy are fine.

Huckle ~ Pip is doing ok. I still think he acts a little different but he is sleeping good at night and overall is better. He looks better thats for sure. But he was shivering yesterday and today and I googled it and it said that it means he needs sugar. Well, he had just come in from outside and it’s cold here so he sat on my lap and I covered him with a blanket and he stopped after a bit. And he had just eaten so I don’t know! aaaaggghhh! I did call his vet and his vet said that possibly the pancreatitis is clearing up and his pancreas may be working a little better so he doesn’t need as much insulin which is good. He said that if he shivers again tomorrow, to call him and I can bring him in for a number check. Thank you for asking! smile

Sue VDB ~ Sending prayers for Minnie right away! If you aren’t comfortable with your vet, ask around and see about switching vets. Listen to your instincts. Hugs to you and your crew!

Hellen ~ I am also still praying for you. The right pug will come along and it will work out perfectly. I just know it!!! Hugs to you too!

Gina, keep close tabs on Pip and don’t hesitate to call your vet if anything is not normal.  Low blood sugars can also be dangerous.  I don’t mean to scare you, but having been a diabetic for 33 years, although I’m not a dog, I know the ups and downs of being diabetic, and they cannot be too far off from a human.

Thank you Sue VDB~ You are right! I’ve talked to a couple people who are diabetic and the symptoms and everything is very similar to people. He ate really well this morning and I gave him his shot but if he starts shivering again, I’m definitely calling and making an appointment. He was very tired last night at bedtime and it scared me a lot. I’m watching him like a hawk today. Thanks Sue! How is Minnie?
