Uh, it’s shady and cool but not too chilly.  Luna gets cold easily, so she may need a light jacket.  Ben & I will be fine.  Ma, you can wear shorts but you’ll need long sleeves.

Love the comments. The only thing I could think of doesn’t really fit. B/c I know they are full of energy and loving hiking etc but for some reason this is what came to mind:

“you have GOT to be kidding me. It is way to early to go out there just yet.”

Thats all I got. Boring I know. smile

Abby is doing better.  I had to turn into mama bear and demand steroid burst with tapper from the substitute vet on friday, and that really has turned her around.  She is still coughing more than normal, but she is acting more like her normal puggy self.  Thanks for all of your thoughts and prayers <3

Is he worried, mad, or contemplative?

Pug Mama, prayers and blessings for Abby.  What is a steroid burst with tapper?  I’ve never heard of it before and don’t know what it’s supposed to do.  Not that that’s important (me knowing) but I am curious.  Glad she seems much better.  Will continue with prayers for you and Abby.  Keep us informed please.

Hmmm, lets see, what sort of stuff could I get into today that would drive my MOM wild?  I know, I know, I will come up with it in a minute!!!  Can’t wait.”

Hark! Who goes there? Show yourself, before i release the hounds!

Lol, Henry, what a good lookout you are!

Been away from the computer for a bit, work really knocking me out, and then Lilo came down with a bladder infection this past week, so we of course did the Emergency Vet Clinic, and antibiotics.  Not sure if she is responding very well to them at this point.  It’s been five days and she still is doing the extra squats for nothing on our walks. :(

I’ll give a call to her vet in the morning.

Hellen, keeping our paws crossed and prayers sent up for you and Emma.  Pug mama, continued prayers for you and dear Abby to get well soon.

Pug hugs and prayers for all from Lilo n Me

Huckle, the steroid burst is to help with inflammation in her trachea.  They start out at a higher dose, a little more frequently, and gradually tapper the dose down to a smaller dose on altering days, so that after about a week, she gets off them, since being on steroids long term is a bad idea, because they can cause all kinds of bad side effects.

Since LILO n ME had my “HALT! Who Goes There” first response - on second scrutiny I came up with:  “I thought I heard the pizza delivery guy.”

No I don’t think so let’s go back to bed this am.

Let’s see what to do? Pee on a tree or run in circles?

Huckle

10/28/2011

Pug Mama, thanks for the info.  It’s good to know and I hope it is the deciding factor and that she’s completely up to par quickly.

Lori, loved the comment.  LOL

Hellen, perhaps by next week you will hear about Emma.  Can you contact them or do you just have to sit tight?  The reason I ask is that when I applied to Ohio Pug Rescue, they were not to be contacted once the application was sent in.  So what did I do…I contacted them but I did not know whether my application had gone in before I finished it as I had to save it to do later and somehow it went in unfinished.  I did tell the guy who called me on a phone interview and he said not to worry about it.  Well, I never heard from them again and even my email explaining what happened didn’t get a response.  But now we have Gracie and Georgie (the Ohio group also had to blacks that I was wishing to get) but I think things just worked out fine.  I can’t imagine not having them or having the other two.  Guess things work out when you sit back and let things happen as opposed to trying to make them happen.  I guess what I am saying is that things will happen in it’s own time.  Good Luck!

Helen I hope you dont have to wait to long to hear from the rescue for Emma I volenteer for pug rescue of Florida and we do not wait if we get someone interested in adopting we follow through right away we want the puggies in a loving forever home that is the whole purpose of the rescue

Huckle

10/29/2011

Sue, that is what I thought.  With as many rescued pugs are out there, speed would seem to be a deciding factor once a forever home is found.  I thought this group (Ohio) would be happy for a suitable home.  Obviously they weren’t.  Good for you for your volunteering for your group.
