Heather, Miss Abby is on the mend. We bumped up her steroids over the long weekend back to twice per day and that had her really comfy, she really likes her steroids, but now we went back to once a day and she is still doing ok. She is acting better, more energetic, all in all, I think we can put this episode behind us!! YEAH!!!
pug mama, soooooo happy for you!
Pug Mama, YAY…just did a happy dance in my seat for Miss Abby. This news made my day! Give her a smooch from me!!!
pug mama, WOW, that is great news. Thank you St. Francis for helping little Abby. Abby, keep getting better, and mama give her hugs from Romeo and me.
Romeo became lethargic, depressed and weak in the hind legs, all side affects from Phenobarbital. I took him off and he is doing so much better, back to being Romeo, tail up in its usual curl, and NO seizures. I am still a little concerned about his hind legs, they seem to be not quite as strong as before his seizures. He goes back to the vet Thursday, so I will surely mention that.
Here comes Benny curly tail, hopping down the puggy trail….
Oh no, Romeo, not you now, Sue VDB, I hope your Romeo checks out ok when you guys head to the vet on thursday. Your support through Abby’s recent scare has helped us through, I sure hope Romeo’s strength in his back legs gets back to normal. Not sure where we would be without these furry blessings. I will send St. Francis on over to you now cuz I think Abby has taken her share for awhile <3
Pug Mama ~ wonderful news! So glad she is doing so much better!
Sue VDB ~ Still saying prayers for Romeo. I hope he makes a full recovery.
Pug Hugs!!!
pug mama and Gina, his legs are not that bad. Believe me when it’s time for a meal or his treat, he knows how to scoot along. It’s just that once in a while his back legs, especialy the left, seem to stumble ever so slightly, and so I want to make sure nothing else is in the works. Thanks for your concern.
pug mama, St. Francis is everywhere, so you keep him with your Abby until she is 100%, and he will also keep watch over Romeo, and all the other creatures who need him.
Thank you Sue VDB! I’ve been praying to St. Francis too for you and for pug mama!
“The Long and Lonesome Road”
Benny, aren’t you glad you have someone right behind you?Or maybe you guys have taken “The Road Less Traveled.” Either way I am sure you have had an ecellent adventure. Pug Hugs from Elizabeth and Pug Mini Cooper in NY~
Prayers for Abby and little Romeo also. St Francis is always watching over the dear little friends. HOpe things continue to get better for these two.
Hugs, Elizabeth~
So glad to hear Abby is doing better. Sorry to hear about your dear Romeo, Sue. Sending good wishes, prayers, love and pug hugs from Lilo n me.
Romeo had his vet appointment today. I expressed my concern to Jim that in the past month Romeo seems to have gotten older looking. Jim examined his eyes and says he probably sees shadows, but not much else, and that is a recent development because a month ago he had no problems. I thought his eyesight might be getting dimmer, but was not prepared for what I was told. In watching him he doesn’t seem to have any problem navigating and goes up and down the deck steps just fine…I’m surmising he is just accustomed to the environment he has lived in ever since he came home in 2002.
Jim couldn’t run a Phenobarbital test on him because I took Romeo off. Jim said he may not have any more seizures, but if he does put him back on Phenobarbital for a few days, then wean him off, so the same symptoms he had with it don’t reoccur.
He had a whole panel of blood work done and I call back tomorrow for the results. I pray there are no other problems found.
I’m going to have to give him more lovin and encourage him to hang in there and stay around longer.
