Here is Henry perched upon a large rock that we have in our front yard. He is aptly attired in his royalty purple harness to look even more kingly.

What a handsome boy! I have no witty comment. Although I wanted to say something about King Henry the 9th and having no wives unlike Henry the 8th. But it didn’t sound funny.

Gina, you should have gone with your reference. Sometimes things sound funny and we think it’s not.
Karen, our thoughts and prayers are with you. Please keep us informed. And I was just thinking that OBPers have been pretty lucky health-wise this year. Even Luna’s cancer scare worked out ok. And so I am sure that C.J. will be fine
C.J. was vomiting in addition to the diarrhea that he’s had for a couple days…The vet filled him full of fluids and sent him home with my hubby…They are running some tests but meanwhile, no food or water for 24 hours! That’s gonna be REALLY hard for C.J.! He looks like a little pot bellied pig cuz the fluid filled him up like a balloon. Funny, he doesn’t act sick though…

Karen, glad that C.J. is back home. Does the vet have any idea what may be wrong, and how long before the results are in? C.J. and entire family are in my thouhts and prayers. I know you are anxious, but remember OBP’ers are with you. You have to be strong and not give in to the food or water…I can understand the food, not too sure about the water.
I guess they want 24 hr stomach and bowel rest…my hubby isn’t good at asking questions and I wasn’t able to go to the vet with them…Supposedly the fluid they gave him is sufficient for the 24 hour period…since he was vomiting, they don’t want him to try to take anything in…

Huckle ~ Thanks! I just got done watch that showtime special “The Tudors” about Henry the 8th and so it was in the forefront of my brain! Thats all I could think of when I saw “Henry” in his “royal” purple!!

Karen I pray your baby CJ will be just fine. I hope the vet can find out what happened. I hate it when they don’t. Not for Henry, You are so handsome up on your rock and in front of your gorgeous castle. I am sure you are looking over your kingdom and feeling very proud.
Thanks all for the well-wishes…C.J. had white rice and lowfat cottage cheese for breakfast this morning, we’ll have to wait and see how he does…lab results should be back today…I’m hoping it was just a bug…

Karen B - I was back reading to see what happened to CJ - is he ok? OMG it must be horrible. I pray it’s all ok and he’s going to be a healthy little pug from now on.

Well, blood work was all normal, as was fecal…had him on lowfat cottage cheese and white rice for a few days…his poopie still is not normal. He doesn’t act like he feels bad, so it’s probably just mom and dad worrying too much! Not sure what to do next…Toeby goes in for his nosejob on Thursday…something new to worry about!
Karen, have you tried the canned pumpkin (not pie pumpkin)? If that doesn’t work, and his poopy doesn’t get back to normal, I would definitley want to know more from the vet before he becomes dehydrated.
You certainly have a full plate right now, but I bet Toeby will come through with flying colors. Again, keep us posted.

Haven’t tried the pumpkin but that may be next on the list…Toeby has been having a lot of trouble with his breathing lately and it hasn’t even been hot. He had surgery as a pup on his soft palate and nose but we’re going to have the procedures revised to make sure his airways are as open as possible. He will also have a dental cleaning and a tooth pulled…he has a fractured tooth that has to come out. Thanks for all the good thoughts for C.J. and Toeby!
Karen when does Toby go in for his dental sending good thoughts your way for Tobey and CJ and of course you there mommy
sue, Toeby goes in Thursday this week (12th)and they tell me this Dr. is the “master” of the surgeons for breathing problems…We’ll see! Thank you for the good thoughts coming our way!
