I’m a nervous wreck today, I just dropped my foster pug, Miss Peanut, off for her surgery today.  She’s having a dental (has a mouth full of rotten teeth) and if time allows, a spay today too.  Our vet is great, but I’m always a nervous nelly   Please think good thoughts for Miss Peanut.  Thanks!

Found pugkin bread at my local Hy-Vee and immediately thought of the puggers.

I just have to comment that I love the fact that Benny has just as many wrinkles on his butt as on his face!  Must be part Shar-Pei!

I just love all the comments this mourning they are great can’t think of a better one I had to take Jasper my brindle boxer to the vet this mourning as he is all red around his mouth and inside his mouth hasn’t been eating to good either the vet said he has a infection in his gums so he is on antibiotics till friday then friday mourning he is going in for surgery on his gums and clean his teeth they have to cut some of the gums away from his teeth I know I am going to be a basket case at work on friday he has to stay over night won’t be able to pick him up till saturday mourning

Andi I will say a prayer and think good thoughts for Miss Peanut please let us know how she does

Thank you all for the thoughts and prayers for Miss Peanut.  It’s 1 pm, I couldn’t stand it any more so I called to see how she’s doing.  They just started on her.  She needs a lot done today, besides the dental and possible spay, she also will have a scope into her female area (blush), she’s been having an infection and this will give us more answers, which may also tie into the spay.  She had a rough life before coming into rescue and wasn’t taken care of for a long time.  But she’s quickly learning what the good life has to offer

Sue, I’ll be thinking of you and Jasper and sending our good thoughts and prayers.  We love our fur babies so much.

Andi, any updates on Miss Peanut?

I’ve been keeping St. Francis very busy lately. Now more prayers going up, this time for Jasper. Sounds like some pretty serious stuff, but when he recovers I bet he will feel so much better.

Is Benny, perhaps thinking he sees “puffy” - gasp - in the street?  Oh horrors, “No no you forgot… Luna is almost sleeping on him but she is only keeping him safe.  Yeah?  Right.

oh lordy, Huckle, there have been jokes made in my family about my Abby needing dentures too, cuz she has had quite a few teeth pulled over the years, due to severe overcrowding and some baby teeth that never fell out.

Hi every one just wanted to give you a up date on Jasper the vet finally called me at 2:15 just as I was ready to head out for work Jasper was out of surgery which he said went well Jasper was awake and they gave him pain meds he is staying the night at the vets I will pick him up first thing tomorrow mourning cant wait My son called the vet for me around five to see how he was doing and they said he was in a lot of dicomfort which just made me worry all the more I will let you all know how he is doing tomorrow after I pick him up cant wait and thank you for asking it means a lot
Huckle glad you found out about Georgie and his thyroid one of my first pugs had to take those pills they are very cheap and it does help

Sue, I am so sorry to hear that Jasper is having such a rough time.  I’m sure with all the prayers, good thoughts and your love, he will begin to feel better.  We feel so helpless when our babies don’t feel well, and wish they could talk so we would know exactly what is going on with them.  I sincerely hope he turns the good corner very soon.  Hugs to your boy and to you.

oh sue, I am hurting for your darling Jasper.  Stay close, I’m sure your nearness will be as healing as the meds.  Give him lots of love and TLC and he’ll be back to himself very soon!  Stay strong!
