Because the Cat Likes It

Benny

I'm pretty sure Benny only lays in this bed because Cupid, the cat, lays there from time to time. I'm not sure what his motives are but he always wants to do what the cat is doing. Does he play with her favorite toys and sleep in her bed because he wants to be cool like her? Or does he do those things so Cupid can't have them?

I don't even pretend to know what goes on in Benny's head. All I know is the cat plays it uber cool and pretends like none of it bothers her and that Benny doesn't even exist for that matter. But, have Cupid go near one of Benny's bones and Benny will have an instant melt down. Indifference is not one of Cupid's traits that Benny has mastered yet.

Benny, Benny, Benny.  There are so many different scenarios to play out here.  Are you trying to win the cat’s approval, are you jealous, do you want to imitate the coolness of the cat, what goes on in that mind of yours?

Regardless, Benny, you are cool in your own unique little way.

BENNY:  I think you have SOC (Special Only Child) imbedded in your dna (I, too, am an “only” and never appreciated being referred to as “spoiled”.)  And besides coveting your kitty-buddie’s things, ie., “the grass is always greener - except for the litter box, we hope”, you just like that connection to another maybe.  It may enhance your empathetic sense to take a nap in Cupid’s bed.  But, learn to share, you MUST!  Cup-ee’s only teasing you at any rate.
The above picture so clearly defines your Buh-buh-buh-Benny personality . . . you’re such a mugg!!

Maybe Bennie is trying to impress QP. Except when it comes to bones. Look at those delicious wrinkles! Tons of smooches to you Baby Benny!

Benny kind of looks like he saying, “What am I doing here?” Maybe he was sleepwalking and found himself on Cupid’s resting spot.

Gina, in that unique way I have of reading at times, I read your post as “Tons of smooches to your belly button”.  Took me a minute to figure it out after I said….“Huh?”

Update - I realize it’s cooler out but Georgie is not gasping nor panting for breath, only a couple of short sessions of it.  I think that Rescue Remedy is working and he seems more comfortable all around from the pin chusion attack he was under on Friday.  Sue VDB, you did good in forging the way to an acupuncturist.  Thanks! And thanks from Georgie, too.

Huckle, you are welcome.  I am now a firm believer in acupuncture.  Minnie is now doing better as well.  It doens’t work for everybody, but it sure helped Romeo and it is now helping Minnie.  I owe a debt of gratitude to Ann Thompson of the Kansas City Pug Meetup for steering me in that direction.

I am even considering it for a problem I am having with my left arm.

Glad the Rescue Remedy is working as well.  That is a new use for me, but it makes sense, as it is a calming formula.
