oh boy oh boy good stuff coming!lol, like my house they never miss a thing lol, enjoy sweet babes.
Brothers keeping a close eye on things:
“I’ll keep watch and let you know when she takes the casserole out of the oven, Benny!”
“OK, thanks, Henry, but then we still have to wait until it cools off.”
At least yours sit and wait. I usually have to navigare around 16 legs.
I am with Sue VDB mine would not sit and wait if I head towards the kitchen all nine doggies follow well I should say they make it there before me
Sue Vdb how is Romeo doing been thinking of you and him a lot this mourning sending a big hug to the both of you
ROFLMBO!
Sue, I didn’t remember that you had 4 pugs/dogs. I read your comment and thought, “wow, that’s a lot.” That is until I read the other Sue’s comment about her NINE doggies. lol Two is enough for me, thanks.
This is so clever! Love it. Bella doesn’t really care when I go into the kitchen. Sometimes she saunters in, other times she doesn’t. Her bed is just too comfy.
Pip however, would move very quickly to the kitchen to see if he could ‘assist’ me in getting things ready.
Prayers for Sue VDB and Romeo.
Pug hugs from Bella & me
My pug Tink is watching in anticipation! She knows me and cooking—she has learned to find a good central location in the kitchen to watch me from. I am really good at dropping things. She is really good at running to scoop them up!
OH MY GOSH! How TOTALLY true! Pudgy Pete (wonder where THAT description came from) “reads Ceramic” as we say - - just try and remove that cookie jar cover or move a plate. )
Talk about being alert! I
This makes me think of the movie Toy Story when the soldiers were on high alert for their “person” (Andy the birthday boy, I believe it was).
I was alert to almost every one of Romeo’s movements last night. I finally started sleeping around 3 am, but at 3:30 am Romeo began whining and pacing. Then I remembered they gave him an opioid yesterday, and side affects include whining and pacing.
This morning he was alert, ate good and took his meds like the good boy he is. The meds still have him very calm, which is a good thing.
He still has what I call wet breathing, but it is not as severe as it was Monday and yesterday morning.
I had to leave for a while this morning, and when I returned home, he greeted me. What a sweetheart.
Thanks for asking and keeping him in your thoughts and prayers.
Carla, I am owned by 3 dogs and 1 cat - Romeo, the pug; Missy, the Chinese crested; Minnie, the chi/minpin; Frankie, the obnoxious cat who thinks he is in charge of all of us.
Funny photo! Most pugs will hear the crinkle of chip bag, the opening of the treat container, rattle of dishes… thinkig it must be for them! glad to read that I am not alone and it is a pug trait!!
thinking of you Sue VDB and Roemeo xoxoxox
I fear the ‘movement in the kitchen’ is Luna getting an extra treat.
Kerry, Tink, what a cute name.
Sue VDB, I didn’t read the latest happening with Romeo until today since your comment had posted just after mine, but commented to you just to let you know how much we all care. And we do. Eating I always take to be a good sign, so Romeo seems to be doing well on that front.
Since his Depo-Medrol shot last week, Georgie has really been going to town on the panting. I called the vet’s office yesterday to voice my concern (after all, that was a part of what got him to the vet’s earlier) but he said that was a side effect of that shot and wasn’t concerned about it. As the shot dissipates, that will lessen. Knock on wood that he isn’t goose-honking as well.
Pat, it is. The pugs (and Cooper) are so attuned to the toaster in use that they run pell mell to the kitchen while my husband is trying oh, so quietly to butter some toast.
Ornery little devils, aren’t they!
OK!!! Something must be wrong with my Dakato. She likes to eat like ALL pugs, but only at night. I put her food down at night in my room. Works really well for us!
So happy Romeo had a good night! Things are looking up it sounds like!
LOL-my gang sit at my feet waiting for a morsel while I cook, then at the table in case something drops. Gotta love those puggers! Glad to hear Romeo is doing better-continued prayers and adding Georgie. Pug hugs from the Colorado 4
Gotta love them pugs. I often refer to my brothers as Masters of the Microwave! Therefore both Tux and Lilo jump off the couch and run to the beep, beep, beep. My older brother used to say it was pretty sad that all his meals began with “ding”. I’m amazed that Lilo cannot hear me sitting in my lap but yet she can hear me open the cellophane wrapping off a slice of cheese from a mile away. I have been working like crazy to make up for some trades with people so I could go to my nephews hockey tourney and just got back so having read about Romeo I had to read back and catch up. Idky but I always feel that I need to read through and cry my own tears for the losses in our pug family.
Hugs and puggy kisses from me and Lilo and Tux.
