Base

Henry

With the summer heat the pugs have been spending a lot of time in the house. And that means the boys have practically become permanent fixtures on the sofa.

Always aiming to please, I think I have come up with a pillow configuration that the boys enjoy. By laying the pillows on their sides and piling them up, it puts the boys a tad higher than the arm of the sofa and gives them a little bit better view out the front door. The configuration was inspired by our makeshift winter games Olympic podium.

How do I know the pugs like the new pillow configuration? Well, Benny has yet to throw the pillows on the floor, so I am taking that as a sign of contentment with the arrangement.

Luna

Why isn't Luna on the couch with the boys? Because Luna is all about the puff pillow.

Corrine, you are the best.  I swear, you must write a puggie book…

I love that pic of Henry…something about that front leg and the expression on his face…and Baby Benny gorgeous as always, even sacked out.

I loved revisiting the olympics and puff too…*giggle*

My couch is a constant disaster…oh well, whatever the boys want, the boys get!!!

Stay cool today gang…

Huckle, how is Cooper doing?  I’m thinking of you…

I absolutely want to squeeze Benny! It makes me wish I were at home on the couch with my crew of pugs and misc. other pups.

Your arrangement skills must truly be perfect since Benny doesn’t have to toss them around himself!

But it also makes me smile to see that being on the couch itself isn’t quite comfy enough.  No, it’s best to be on a pillow that’s on the couch!

To rephrase - “if the boys are happy, everyone is happy”.  They really do look comfy, and probably dreaming of the day they can go walking again.

I’m sure Luna is doing likewise on her made to suit puffy bed.

Thanks for the walk down memory lane.  Love the picture of the Olympic Podium and seeing sweet Solsey, just a few short days before her trip to the Rainbow Bridge.  She looks so sweet.

the boys look so comfy on the couch my gang don’t even want to go out in the heat so they spend most of the day either on the couch or cool tile floor

Huckle how is Cooper doing today hope feeling better give him a hug and kiss for me

I love Henry’s pose, ever vigilant for strangers at the door.  And Benny, you look tooooo comfortable.  Glad Mom’s arrangement suits your impeccable taste.  And Miss Luna, it’s your thang, do what you wanna do!

Henry is looking a little worried about whatever is going on outside (perhaps a pillow thief?).....almost as if he’s ready to spring.  And talk about relaxed, that seems to be Benny’s middle name.

Cooper wouldn’t eat since last chemo so we called the vet for some anti-nausea pills (why we had to figure that out I don’t know) and he is now beginning to eat some (which is the important part).  No heavy breathing yet like before and moves around so I guess he’s better right now.  Thank you for all your thoughts and well-wishes.  It’s meant a lot and you are all so great.

Huckle, so happy to hear about Cooper’s eating and moving around!  This is a good sign…You and he continue to be in my thoughts and prayers…Give him some love from me!

Sue VDB, I agree about Sweet Sol…made my heart swell and eyes fill up…I hope she is having fun with my Riley at the bridge!  I always said he would someday have a black sister…and now he has one at the bridge…

Great pictures smile  This is exactly what my puggies have been doing too.  This FL heat is just too much :(

Huckle, wonderful news that Cooper is eating and moving around some.  Good thoughts and prayers are still coming you way.

Hey OBP Gang!  I cannot imagine the heat.  It is 17(celcius) here, sunny, warm and just plain gorgeous!
We have had some humidity, but not what some of you experience.
Love the pillow pile!!
Huckle, glad to hear Cooper is eating, even if it is only a little bit. What is the Black Swamp3?
I was surprised to see Solsey, and I too teared up!!
but what a great pic of the gang!
Tomorrow is Canada Day, and a day off for Moi!
I will return on friday to check out the OBP happenings!
Happy Canada Day to all, even if you are not Canadian.
Pug hugs to all, Take Care…

Sue VDB, I am so sorry to forget about Bo Peep…This is bittersweet of course, but to imagine my Stud Muffin with his two black puggie ladies frolicking away is making me smile.  I think the mental image is awesome and that all our OBP Family pugs at the bridge are destined to be together!!  Oh how we wish they were still relaxing on our pillows, but now they are free of that which troubled them and watching over us…

Pat, Happy Canada Day, and enjoy your day off.

Heather, I have a feeling all of the OBP pugs who have gone to the bridge somehow are together as we all are here.

Pat- I was looking for a less lengthy way to include the two new puggies into the signature of Abby & I and came up with The Black Swamp3 due to the fact that our area of Ohio was once The Great Black Swamp (which was so murky and dark and dismal that the Native Americans wouldn’t enter it.  Eventually the settlers entered it, drained it and built huge ditches for the run-off.) I’m not sure I cut much off my typing “Abby, Gracie, Georgie & Huckle”, I just don’t have to remember as much.  smile

Maybe we all ought to tramp down to Florida with Puggies in tow, camp on Corrine’s doorstep until she promises to write that book.  It couldn’t be anything but spectacular with her gift for words and ‘marksmanship’ with the camera.  That probably wouldn’t work though, we’d all have too good a time and forget why we were there!

Pugs & Hugs,
The Black Swamp3 & Huckle
