aaww Henry,,what a cute kissy face you have, and I hope you did get a piece of Banana that mom was eating…
Hope Benny is feeling better and being a model patient!!
Hallmark card perfect too. You are one handsome pugger.
Benny, hope you are feeling better.
Look at that face how could anybody refuse to give you a ptece of banana or anything for that matter something about the pug head tilt
hope Benny is feeling a little better today
That is just too cute for words. Hope everyone is doing ok today.
I’ve seen that face before! It’s the same one Lucy gives me when I’m eating a banana…or an apple…well, when I’m eating anything!
Close up perfect! C.J. has decided he loves bananas, Toeby turns his nose up!
That is the same look Sleighbelle gives me when I’m eating peanut butter, or cheese, or chicken, or…wait…when I’m eating anything!
Benny I would give you everything I have with that sad look.
Looks like our house may be sold but plan to take computer along for the long move, if we can find a place with hookups I will sign in. Otherwise, I’ll catch uo later.

ROFL!!!! You are too cute, Mr. Henry!!!!! You should ask your mama to look up Dogswell treats that are a dried banana chip with a bit of chicken jerky wrapped around; Miss Abby got a sample of one at the Pugfest and she said they are to die for (even though she won’t come near a raw banana!!!!)
Hellen, hope your move is flawless. Hope to see you soon on OBP. Hugs to GiGi and Gwen.
What a funny picture for a grey, rainy day. He looks so begging you just want to give him the whole banana tree! Smooch, Henry.
Is anyone having trouble with their pugs shedding, and I mean gobs. The other day I noticed, when the light hit Gracie right that her back side looked clumpy…kind of like when a horse sheds his winter coat. I could practically clear the stuff out with just my hands. So I got out the furminator and WOW. One pass through and it was full of her black hair. Abby has never shed like that in 6 years and we didn’t have Georgie and Gracie at this time last year so I’m wondering if it is a black pug thing (although Georgie isn’t as bad). Hopefully it isn’t a thyroid thing but that’s the first thing I thought. Anyone else have a problem? Any ideas?
Huckle, I’ve never had that kind of problem with any of my pugs. I’ve only had one black pug and she didn’t shed nearly as much as my other pugs who were all fawn.
I am late today, but so happy to read that Benny is resting and that the vet said everything looks perfect!! Kiss to you sweet boy, rest that leg!
Henry, you are handsome handsome handsome and I would definitely give you some nanners! Kiss to you…and to the Miss too!!
Huckle, Toeby sheds like that…He has about three times the coat thickness of C.J. and I notice little tufts of hair all over the place and stuck to his fur also…He hasn’t been shedding as much since we started the thyroid and his fur is soooooo soft now. I think it’s a normal thing for pugs with really thick fur…C.J. doesn’t visibly shed much…I even asked the vet about shaving Toeby for summer so he’d be cooler and he said “Absolutely not!” It takes away the dogs insulation and actually makes them hotter! Good to know!
I have read various articles on shaving dogs, all of which advise against it. Only today I read another article that stated as you did Karen, it takes away the insulation and actually makes them hotter in summer.
Henry, you name it, and you shall have it! A piece of banana, banana pudding, banana bread, whatever you want! That look has brought me under your power!
I was away yesterday, and missed the post about Benny, and just went back to read it after seeing the above comments.
I’m so sorry that happened to Baby Benny! I’m glad he’s doing so much better, but wow…... What a horrible thing that was! And yes, Corrine, I agree with you and everyone else that an uncurled tail is terrible to see.
Glad to hear Benny is going to mend!!
Huckle - I’ve had pugs that shed their undercoat like that. I’ve never thought to shave a pug but I have shaved my sheltie/corgi mix and she’s much happier! The furminator should do the trick!
Huckle, I not recently had a lot of shedding going on. But in years past with other breeds, I’ve noticed that their shedding could be very inconsistent. One year, they might not particularly shed a notable amount. Then the next year, I’m afraid that any minute they’ll be completely bald! So I think you should just hang in there and see if it doesn’t even out.
Huckle my six pugs are shedding a lot also its funny when I loved in Mass and had my first group of pugs they only shed twice a year spring and fall but since I moved to Florida this group is alway losing fur and believe it or not so are the two boxers now thats crazy
Kids, I hadn’t thought to shave them but that would be something I would eventually have considered. A friend of mine had her St. Bernard shaved every summer and I had always heard that they need the insulation of the finer hair to not get hot. It’s all rather confusing. I wonder if a dietary supplement might help with the shedding, but at the moment I have more Pug hair on me than on the Pugs. I took Abby with me to Walgreens this a.m. for the ride and when I got out of the van was amazed at the amount of Abby-hair I was wearing. (Of course I had on dark blue clothing.)
Pug Mama - What was the Pugfest like? Seeing a bunch of Pugs must have been the coolest thing. Did they have activities, or contests, or anything like that?
