Bamboo Fence

Benjamin, Henry and Luna

We have been doing some spring gardening and one of our tasks was to put up this little Bamboo fence. It add a bit of privacy and gives a nice decorated touch to the garden. After we finished installing it, the pugs of course christened it then I made them sit for a picture. grin

Of course they christened it.  Isn’t that what new things are for?

I love the look on little Luna’s face

Henry looks quite pleased with himself.

Benjamin looks likes he is proud of what he just did.

Romeo goes to the oncologist this morning…at last.  Please continue to keep him in your thoughts and prayers.  You friends have been great, and I truly appreciate you.

They more or less have the same look on their faces…kinda like they got away with something.

Sue VDB, praying so hard for you and Romeo.  Did he have a good night?  Did you?  Am holding a vision of Romeo well, or at least better in my heart and mind.  Hang in there Sue. We are here.

Romeo is feeling better today than has, but the news is not good.  The vaccine does well for smaller tumors, and radiation may give him a month of two. This thing is growing too fast.  It has now moved into a lymphnode, and possibly into his brain.  Can’t tell for sure without a CT scan, but there really is not much they can do.

Dr. Heebe was very knowledgeable and took a long time to explain the various procedures and the remote possibility of helping, but the bottom line is Romeo’s time is probably very limited.

His left nostril is completely blocked, his left eye may begin to bulge even more,

Now my request for prayers and thoughts are to make me totally aware when it is time to give him peace.  I want that uppermost now for my sweet, sweet Romeo.

Thank you all so much.

Love,

Sue VDB

Sue VDB, I am so very sorry for you and for Romeo.  He has had a wonderful life with you by his side and he knows that you are doing all you can to make him comfortable and keep him calm.  But knowing that doesn’t take the pain away from your heart.  I pray for you both.

Hi Sue VDB
I have not been one to comment in the “gang” (just to OBP) but as I have been a daily reader forever, I finally needed to chime in….
sue, you are an amazingly strong person and I respect and admire all that you for your Romeo.  May you find the strength, wisdom and peace to know when the right time is to allow Romeo his trot over the rainbow bridge.  I know first hand how hard it is but only have the utmost respect for those that do not allow the pain to continue.  Sending you only the most heartfelt vibes.

Sue VDB,

I am so sorry for you and Romeo. I am crying while I write this. October last my beloved Paddington (PaddyBoy) stopped eating and I knew it was something serious. Just a month before he was fine and still running around. After doing the Xrays it turned out that he had a tumor the size of a cantalope and at age 12 and half there was nothing to be done medically for him, altho sometimes vets will make suggestions. Had I kept him alive would be for my own selfishness as he was in pain. Letting them go peacefully is the kindest gift we can give them in return for all of the love and devotion they show us. I thought I had stopped breathing when he passed peacefully in my lap but then I realized that I was fortunate enough to have been loved by him for 12 and half years. Who can ask for more than that? You are in my thoughts and prayers.

LOL and look at the smiles on their faces. Dear Sue VDB & Romeo, Can’t begin to express how sorry to hear this news. I will pray for you to be strong as possible when Romeo’s time comes. We all know how our love helps us to let go and give our dear babies peace but it is so difficult to do. Prayers and many pug hugs coming to you and sweet Romeo. Pastor Sue & the Colorado 4

Oh Sue my tears and and prayers are wih you. I have had to make this decision twice through my many years. You will know when the time is right to give him peace. I helt my babies and told them how much they were loved.

Tears still run for them. The last one was GiGi who most of you will remember, died last year. I was not able to be with her but my Granddaughter helt her.

Sue,

I am so very sorry about the news you got from the oncologist.  I will continue to keep you and Romeo in my prayers as well as my thoughts.  I think you have faced his health crisis with love and courage and good judgment.  I believe you will continue to do so.

Sue VDB:  Have been thinking so much about you and your ROMEO.  As one other, among all your OBP friends, my heart hurts for you so badly.  We’re just never ready to say “goodbye” to those we love.  We’re just NOT - but knowing that peace and comfort awaits ROMEO once he’s crossed that bridge will help you - and also that he’s always been sure of your love for him.  Time has no meaning for him once he’s passed over, and he will be content to wait for you and not lonely with all the love that is there around him.  My prayers are that you will know when that time is to be.  He might not let you know - my friend’s boxer was steadfast in trying to hang on for her and she is still haunted that she let things go too far.
I pray for extra Grace to be with you - to hold you fast and lend you strength, and for memories of all your happy, happy times together be ever present to carry you through this.
