Back to School - Luna

Luna

Luna is a graduate of the school of hard knocks. We never enrolled Luna in training classes. I guess, Luna would say that she is such a good girl that she didn't need any training wink

My heart just melts.  This picture of Looney Tunes is priceless.

Happy Labor Day, kids.  (I had one son born on Labor Day - about a million years ago - and always thought that was quite fitting.  :0) )

Luna, you don’t need to go to school as most likely you could teach us humans a few things about life, love and caring. Just looking into your eyes tells so much. Your Mama taught you well and you have the best home a Pug or any animal could hope for.

A safe and happy Labor Day weekend to everyone.

You are without a doubt a GOOD GIRL, Lil’ Luna!  I don’t know why it is - but Luna reminds me of - or makes me think of my dear momma.  She had big, dark brown eyes that were always full of wisdom, patience and kindness, and she LOVED all dogguses - so she’d be really cool with the comparison.

Hoping everyone has a glorious end-of-summer holiday.

Oh Looney Tunes. I love you so. You are a sweet, sweet girl and I agree with Kathleen, you could teach us humans a thing or two.

Have a safe labor day weekend everyone.

The wise and beautiful Luna needs no schooling, and I most definitely agree about being taught life’s lessons.  We would do good to pattern ourselves after these precious creatures.  As my friend Lorna always says, “the dogs are perfect, it’s we humans who need work”,

Huckle, happy birthday to your son, and I love your take on Labor Day.  Labor Day does not hold good memories for me as George died Labor Day, September 4, 2000.

Minnie update - I just spoke with the vet and he says Minnie is doing well, but that’s only because she is being given supportive treatment. The Addison test will be perfomed tomorrow.  Ideally the test should not be given until she has been off prednisone for as long as she has taken it, but if the situation calls for it, the test can be given 24 hours aftet her last dose.  Because Dr. Rowe believes she can’t wait for the first option, the test will be performed tomorrow morning.

Thank you everyone for your prayers, your concern and your good thoughts.  This is definitely the best bunch of people.

Thanks Pat and Sue VDB. I’ll pass it on and he will look confused and think I’m having a “senior moment”.  That’s worth a snicker.

Sue VDB.  You and Minnie are in my thoughts.  You are so good about keeping us updated. Thank you and prayers in return.

I just really love Luna.  I mean I love ‘em all but she just seems real special to me , especially being from the “school of hard knocks”.  I’ve got three grads from that school.  And one was my pug Dolly, who we found with a piece of baling wire embedded in her neck for a collar.  What a mess that was, but she let me work it out slowly.  Probably took nearly an hour, then the washing, she also was very good about that.  The vet?  She wasn’t too good about that, in fact she was downright hostile.  But a little more than a year later, she is a perfectly happy, mal-adjusted, disfunctional pug who loves us dearly (nobody else though)as we also love her dearly.  What I’m trying to say is my heart is truly with Luna.  We will never know what kinds of abuses these wonderful dogs have gone through, and every time I see a photo of Luna my heart just melts.  Best wishes to you Luna and to your pug brothers and to your humans.
