Another Change in Dosage?

Luna

Well, today is another trip to the ophthalmologist for little Luna.  The last time she was there they had discovered that one of her medications was actually irritating her eye.  So, it was sort of a catch-22 situation.  She needs the meds to help her but on the other hand, they also bother her. Instead of eliminating the questionable medication altogether, they cut the dosage in half.  This has seemed to irritate her less but as far as maintaining the tear productivity at half the dosage, we won’t know until to this afternoon.  If all goes well, at today’s visit, though, Luna may be able to stay away from the vet’s office until April of 2008!  We are hoping that the medication schedule we have been following for her is just right.  We’ll keep you posted.

Will be thinking of Little Luna and hoping for great news!  My big boy has lack of tear production, scratched corneas, too, and is on daily meds like Luna.  I know how it is….Here’s hoping she gets a vet break!!  Happy Turkey Day to all!

Luckily, Little Luna’s eye issue won’t interfere with her sense of smell and she and the boys will love the aroma of roast turkey wafting through the air with the promise of things to come! Hope you all have a very Happy Thanksgiving.

Here’s wishing you the best of luck!  Also, that is the happiest expression I have seen from Luna LOL.
