A Nice Pug Welcoming

Henry with the new Crape Myrtle

Over the weekend, we had a sizable date palm removed from the yard.  In its place, we planted a Crape Myrtle.  Crape Myrtles aren’t in bloom right now, so the tree looks like a Charlie Brown tree, but I am sure it will look beautiful in the Spring.  The boys were sure to welcome the tree the first opportunity they got.

The top picture looks like “A guy’s gotta do what a guy’s gotta do”. wink

Of course you know we simply had to make the new tree our own.  What kind of puggies would we be to ignore it?

That Crape Myrtle might as well get used to it right off the bat.

Luckily this is not a CRAP Myrtle!  or the pictures might be less adorable!

They just didn’t want the new tree to feel unloved or unwanted!  (Plants have feelings too, ya know!) It must go thru the pug initiation ceremony so that it knows it truly belongs!  Looks like the guys were only too happy to have a new “target”!!

Ha! That makes me laugh. My boy Poley still squats to pee! Shh…don’t tell him most boy dogs lift their legs…I think it’s adorable!

The instructions for planting the tree clearly state “water thoroughly”. The boys are just doing what they can to help with the tree planting process….GOOD BOYS!!

THIS IS CRAZY BUT WHERE DID YOU GET THOSE HARNESSES? I think I just ordered them off of H. Doodle a link I found while visiting this pug blog.  I have been looking for a stretchy or soft harness since I seen them last summer on a couple of puggles walking by my house. (The only time my pug dis-obeyed me was when she chased those puggles down the street!!!!)
