3:30 can’t get here soon enough!

Sol

Great news! Sol gets to come home today! Our appointment to pick her up is at 3:30PM this afternoon. They said through the night she ate, drank and peed! There was no doubt in my mind that she would eat. She is a pug after all. They also said that she slept, but she was also a little whiny during the night. The girl does not like to be in crates at the vet! She would much prefer a little dog bed in the corner somewhere.

The main reason we can't pick her up until 3:30PM is that we are waiting for a delivery of liquid medicine to arrive. It should be delivered in the early afternoon, so they scheduled our pickup for the evening. After I get her home, which could take awhile since it is Bike Week and there is a race at the track this weekend, I will be sure to post an update.

I had no intention of doing this, but I have received several emails and requests from pug lovers asking for my PayPal email address so they can make a donation towards Sol's surgery. First, this just blows me away. Your generosity and support for Sol has been more than anyone could even imagine and we are so very lucky to have friends like you. The reasons I wasn't going to post anything is because, um, the economy sucks and I am always asking you guys to support a pug cause. I'm sure I will ask again in the future so I try really hard to pick and choose wisely and not to be the girl that is always asking you to donate, donate, donate. However, I know what it is like to want to help and decided to post my PayPal address for those of you that emailed and commented and want to make a donation to Sol's surgery. Please don't feel obligated to make a donation. Right now, we are on the hook for $3,500 for the surgery alone, so every penny will help a tremendous amount, but the last thing I want to do is put the burden on your shoulders. No matter what we will get through this. So after that very long winded explanation, here is my PayPal address: .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! I will definitely have a big update on Monday letting you know how Sol is doing. I will be very happy to see that little girl, home, sleeping in her puff ball bed.

Update: I have been getting a lot of questions on how to use my email address to send a contribution to Sol. If you have a PayPal acount you can login and then click the Send Money tab. For the recipient, you would enter my email address, .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) To make things easier though, here is a button that will allow you to make a contribution to Sol.

Hopefully all of our prayers helped little Miss Sol.  I was thinking about all of you all day yesterday.  I’m so glad things are working out so well.  She knows she’s with people and pugs who love her.  She’s going to be so happy to get home later today.  You all are in my thoughts every day.  What a lovely loving pug family!  I’m so jealous that I only have a pug grandpuppy.  I want one of my own…hubby says he doesn’t want to be tied down :(

Give Sol and little hug and kiss from Gramma Cindy!

YAY YAY YAY…I just knew Sol would eat…not just because she’s a pug, but because it meant she would get to see her brothers, sister, mom and dad sooner!!

Such wonderful news.

As most of us, I don’t have much, but I most certainly want to help the little that I can towards Sol’s surgery…I’m a little inept when it comes to paypal though…what do I do to make it happen???

Can’t wait for 3:30!!!!

Biscuit and Rascal said that it’s a great birthday present for Sol to be doing well and coming home today.  (I left out the part about her whining during the night, ‘cause I knew that would make them sad.)  They said to give Sol puggie kisses.

Sol will be so happy to get back home with her family!  As for the $$, perhaps you can do as I did after my beloved cat Livingston had to have brain surgery:  his nickname became “Visa” because that was how I financed the surgery (and he lived a very long and happy life smile

Phyllis, I feel your $$ pain!  C.J. should just be named “Cash” as I dipped WELL into my savings for his lung surgeries, palate surgery, nose job, fractured leg etc.!!! LOL!

But we do what we have to do to take care of these little guys who completely steal our hearts and love us so much in return!!

I am so happy for you that Sol gets to come home today! And I am also glad to be able to help a little bit with her care. Most of us probably donate to the local rescue groups, but we never see the results…this is such a joy to actually be a part of little Sol’s life after rescue! Thank you for sharing her and the rest of your pug family…I look forward to seeing them every day smile

What WONDERFUL news!!!!! I’m so happy happy happy about this. And I’m sure the mammary thing is nothing, but I’ll keep praying about it just in case. Also I’ll see if I can afford to donate any this month. I would love to, though, don’t feel weird about it at all. smile

Sue VDB:  so happy to hear your procedure went well…even though I didn’t type it out, you were in my prayers with Sol too!

Bronchitis is the verdict here, but I’ve been coughing through happy tears seeing the pic of a HEALTHY Miss Sol traveling home (the twit pic)...She looks like, “Whoa, what just happened to me”...*giggle*

I am just beyond thrilled for all of you that Sol’s outcome was so stellar, all things considered (notice how I’m not even giving a thought to those pesky M tumor thingys…they will NOT be a problem…I have faith!)...

And I will be donating tomorrow too with a smile and pug snorts from the boys…(have to balance the checkbook after the $130 dump at CVS first…Yeah, where’s the red pen?!?!)

LOVE and PUG KISSES to Sol and Henry, Benjamin, and Luna who will all be one big pug pile of reuniting soon!!  (and to you too Corrine…and to, uh well…Mr. OBP grin

[cue music] reuniting and it feels so good…

Wow, what a day of sharing.  We’ve got puggies having surgery and humans that are sick and having procedures and birthday wishes.  We really are a close group considering we are spread from coast to coast and up to Canada and who knows where else.  And all because a lady in Florida decided to share stories and pictures of some dogs.  I’m not sure it would have worked if they hadn’t been pugs!

So, thanks for the Birthday wishes for the guys.  They are 2 this year.

Sue VDB and Heather, I hope you feel better soon.  Love to Sol and her great support system.  Have a great weekend folks.

Carla, I kept meaning to say Happy Birthday to your guys, but I am a space shot with these medicines…lol…

HAPPY HAPPY Birthday to Biscuit and Rascal.  Birthday blessings to them for a great year.

I agree about the little community we have here…don’t know what a day would be like without it really…thanks, too, for the well wishes.  Feeling better and better.

Hope you’re still doing well Sol.  I’m sure Luna, Benjamin, and Henry are taking great care of you!
