2009 Calendar

2009 Owned by Pugs Calendar

A little over a week ago the 2009 Calendars went on sale and while it was an incredible exciting day, at the very end of it, I was able to breathe a huge sigh of relief!  This is our fourth year making the calendar and I am very happy how this year’s calendar turned out.  The calendar contest and the accompanying calendar is really one of my favorite parts of the site.  It is a chance for me to see pictures of YOUR pugs!  Each day, I post something about Benjamin, Henry & Luna and share a picture and as I read all of the comments I often wonder or try to imagine things in my head of what your adorable pugs look like.  The calendar is a perfect opportunity for me to see your precious pugs.  So, I want to take the time to thank everyone who submitted a picture.  We received over 1,000 entries this year and, trust me, I looked at each picture submitted multiple times.  Narrowing down the pictures and choosing which pictures get included in the calendar is by far the hardest part.  There were so many pictures I wanted to put in, but there just wasn’t enough room on the pages.  Do you guys really need all those empty grid squares for notes and appointments?

As with every other year, we are donating a portion of the proceeds from the calendar sale to a pug rescue organization.  This year we are working with Central Florida Pug Rescue.  We have attended a few of their events and are very happy to get the chance to work with them.

On a side note, I want to share a photo of a disgruntled Henry.

Henry

Each year, I take a picture of the pugs to include somewhere in the calendar.  Well, this year, Henry was not the least bit cooperative.  On our first attempt to get a picture of Henry he had a silly look on his face for every picture.  After about 10 pictures, I took him to go potty, and wouldn’t you know that after that he was all smiles!

Thank you to everyone who submitted pictures and has bought or is going to buy a calendar.  None of this would be possible without you!

Enjoy the weekend!

Corrine I don’t envy you the task of deciding which pictures make the calendar.  I would go nuts doing that.

As far as Henry goes, “When you gotta go, you gotta go, and that clicky thing was not helping me one bit”.

Poor Henry…he just needed to get some relief before being the handsome, cooperative model he is!  hehee…The calendar looks great…I haven’t gotten around to ordering mine yet, but hopefully today.

Pugs and kisses to all of OBP community!

You’d be cranky too, if you have to go and couldn’t!!  A Models life isn’t as easy as it looks… long hours, waiting, endless clicky thing poses… sigh What’s a pug model to do?  Hope it is over soon so I can go potty!!
Have great weekend everyone!  Pugs n kisses to all!

Henry, you and I both know that mommy speaks pug, but she just got so crazed about getting a good shot of that handsome face of yours. Give her a kiss and let her know that all is forgiven and a nice chunk of pugkin bread is in order.
Corrine, thank you for all your hard work on the calendar, for including our babies and for sharing yours.

I’ve been so busy the last couple of weeks that I didn’t take the time to order mine yet.  I figured, you’ve got lots on your plate, too, OBP and hopefully, lots of other calendars to ship to people that need them faster than I do.  But, i did take a peek and it does look great.

I’ve also been too busy to comment much for the last week or so, but I’ve been checking in on OBP land grin

Yesterday, I picked up some pumpkin bread and shared it with Biscuit and Rascal.  Obviously, they loved it and would have eaten the entire package if I had let them. lol

Today I’ve got to get their outfits out of the basement for the contest on Sunday.  I know Rascal’s devil outfit will fit, but I need to check out Biscuit’s peacock.  It may be too small and I’ll need to make other arrangements.  Hmmm, might need another trip to the PETSTORE! lol

Have a great weekend OBP-land and lots of hugs and scratches to all the puggies!

I’d love to send pictures of C.J. and Toeby but I just can’t get good shots of them!  They do NOT cooperate whether they have to potty or not!!!  I’ll keep trying and maybe one day my boys pug mugs will grace a page of your pug calendar.  I love my calendar by the way!

Adorable shot of Henry being stoic and waiting for you to realize it was potty-time!

I’m glad you like seeing all of our puggies, too, because your calendar is a lot of fun and it’s for a good cause, too!  What a winning combination!

I was so excited to found out that my little Olive is on the March page (2nd column from right, 2nd box down, pink harness). Imagine my surprise when I opened it to see that you had put her mom, Jazzy, right next to her (tongue hanging out)!! You would have had no idea that Jazz is her momma…pretty cool! My sister in law and I can’t wait to get our calendars now smile
