Be Advised

Benjamin and Henry

All pugs be advised, there has been movement in the kitchen. I repeat, there has been movement in the kitchen.

Out with the old, in with the new

Cupid

Cupid's new perch arrived late last week, and as soon as we could we got to assembling it. While we were putting it together Cupid hung out in her old perch and also spent some time supervising from the new perch's box.

Cupid

By the time we had it assembled she was pretty anxious to try it out. She followed us while we moved the new perch to its new home and as soon as we sat it down, she made her way up to the top.

She spent some time surveying her kingdom from her new superior height before settling down to relax.

The Perch

Cupid

This tattered mess is Cupid's perch. She has had it for about 6 years now and as you can see her constant use and the unforgiving Florida sun has really taken a toll on the tower. It is in such rough shape that I should have put it to the curb a long time ago, but I just couldn't bring myself to do it because Cupid loves it so much. The fabric is so dry rotted that I worry it is just going to rip when when she is laying on it and she is going to plummet to the ground.

Little does Cupid know that she has a new kitty perch heading her way. It should hopefully be delivered this week. Now, we just have to hope that the fickle kitty loves her new perch as much as she loves her old perch.

Missing You

Sol

Two years ago today we said goodbye to Sol. This is a milestone that I was worried about because it means that Sol has now been gone longer than she was with us.

While we only had 15 months to share with Sol, I know that she lived a full life and I am even prouder that her memory lives on with the Central Florida Pug Rescue's Sol Sunshine Memorial Fund.

So far over $2,300 has been raised to help the hospice pugs of Central Florida Pug Rescue. And if those pugs are anything like Solsey, which I know they are, they are living out their golden years in grand style. And that is because of the loyal OBP readers. Your support of Sol, Benjamin, Henry and Luna over the years has been tremendous and I can't thank you enough for helping the memory of Solsey live on through your generous donations.

Say what you want about pug people, but they are some of the nicest and caring people I know. Thank you for supporting Sol. I don't have words to express how grateful I am for all your support.

Never Satisfied

Benjamin

Benjamin is never satisfied to leave any pillow in its original position. He has never met a pillow he hasn't "fluffed".
