For St. Patrick's Day, I decided to post one of my favorite St. Patty's photos from 2009. The original post explains that Luna is missing because she posed for this photo on the same day and exceeded the maximum number work hours allowed for a pug as per the Cute Union of which she is a card carrying member. Plus, we only had 3 bandanas.
I think the pugs' preferred way of celebrating today would be to eat something green. So, I am going to see if I can round them up any interesting green treats.
Happy St. Patrick's Day!

We just found out about National Popcorn Day. From the brief research we have done, many say the exact date of National Popcorn Day is unknown, although many celebrate it on Jan 19th.
If we missed the official day or not, the pugs were not about to let National Popcorn Day go by uncelebrated. They LOVE popcorn so in honor of the holiday we made a bag of popcorn last night.
They would have ate the whole bag if we let them, but they were forced to share with their humans.
Does your pug like popcorn?

Like many people, including myself, the pugs overindulged this holiday. They had many more treats and bones than they normally would have had in the last two weeks. And as expected they loved it.
But, after a short cold snap, a front of perfect pug weather has moved in to the area. We have been able to get out for lots of walks and have been able to go on extra long walks without the pugs getting too hot.
The weather and walks have been just what the pugs needed to burn off all their holidays snacks. I wish burning off all my holiday snacks was just as easy.

Shortly after eating all their Christmas treats Benjamin, Henry & Luna racked their brains and came up with a few things they are willing to work on for a few weeks in January and then forget all about.
The boys have come up with a joint resolution. They have decided to learn more about how screens work. Currently, they are unaware that liquids can pass through screens, so whenever they lift their leg to pee on the screen they are always surprised to find pee pee on the other side. So, the boys are resolved to learning all about how liquids can pass through screens, how to recognize a screen and how to not pee on screens.
Luna's resolution came to her when we were walking at one of our favorite parks earlier this week. We were strolling along and Luna stopped to smell something in the grass and before we knew it she was rolling around like a wild woman in the grass. When she flipped herself over, she was covered in a yellow-greenish goop. If I wasn't too busy gagging over the smell, I would have taken a picture to share with everyone.
So we hurried home and Luna went straight to the tub for a bath. She wreaked and getting her wet only made her smell worse. Lucky for us, whatever Luna was covered in came off with her regular dog shampoo and with a double wash she was as good as new. But, since the experience required a bath, Luna has resolved not to roll around in crazy smells she finds on the grass.
We'll see how long the pugs are able to keep their resolutions. I hope you have better luck with your resolutions.

We had a very merry Christmas and enjoyed a few days off after the holiday. The pugs were very into Christmas this year. At least, they were interested in any presents that were edible. We got them a few stuffed toys, but they didn't pay any attention to those until all the treats has been opened.
Luna was into everything on Christmas morning. She was even peeking in Henry's stocking.
She was very happy to claim this peanut butter rawhide bone as her own.
We couldn't even keep Luna out of the trash. We threw away the top to a treat bag and after she ate her treats, Luna was digging through the discarded wrapping paper in hopes of finding more treats.
Benjamin was most interested in these pumpkin and raspberry bones given to him by G-Ma. He LOVED them!
Henry was very happy to find a bully stick tucked away in his stocking. Bully sticks are his favorite.
The pugs sure did rake in the treats and chewies on Christmas. They have a nice stockpile for the upcoming winter months.

Warmest Christmas wishes from Benjamin, Henry & Luna.
Also, OBP Reader Martha, worked very closely with Benjamin, Henry & Luna and put together this Christmas dance for everyone. I hope you enjoy.
On a side note, things are going to be crazy busy here in the OBP house for a bit, so I am going to take a few blogging days off. I will return on Thursday, December 30th and will let you know if Santa brought anything for the pugs and also let you know what New Year Resolutions Benjamin, Henry & Luna have come up with for 2011.
Have a safe and merry holiday!
