After their long car ride, the excitement of the hotel, the walk about Miami and dinner on the balcony, the pugs were exhausted and ready for bed. Luckily, Benjamin found the hotel's pillow offerings acceptable.

Henry and Luna also had no trouble getting comfortable on the hotel's bed. You should have heard the snoring coming from this room! After all they all needed to get their rest, their big photo shoot was the next day!

Shortly after we settled in to the hotel room, the rain slowed down to a drizzle so we decided to take the pugs out to explore downtown Miami.

One of the first things the pugs came across was this ginormous boat. Pugs weren't allow on the boat, so we continued on.

The pugs were so excited by their new surroundings they didn't even care that everything was all wet. Even Luna was happily splashing around in puddles.

It was raining when we arrived at our destination in Miami, the pet friendly Epic hotel. So we scurried from the car to the lobby to get checked in. Our room was on the 25th floor, so that meant that the first adventure for the pugs in Miami would be the terrifying elevator.
The whole ride up the pugs were low to the ground, bracing themselves and looking at each other with questions looks. As soon as the doors opened 3 pugs sprung out of the moving box and were very happy to be back on what seemed to be solid ground.
We meandered through the halls and found our room. The pugs loved this part because they found a few room service trays. They had no idea where they were, but any place that leaves food outside of doors is great to them.
When we got to the room, we unleashed Ben, Henry & Luna and then they were off to explore the room. They smelled every nook and cranny to get a feel for their new digs.

They also got acquainted with their new view from high above the city.

Last Saturday morning we packed up the pugs and headed south to Miami for our 1000 pugs photo shoot It was a rainy day, but that didn't seem to bother the pugs one bit. Benjamin, quickly grabbed the coveted dog bed in the back seat and curled up for the long ride. Seriously, he was settled like that before we even hit the highway. He didn't budge either until we made our first pit stop.

Henry had other plans and wanted to play pilot. It worked for a little bit but then he was delegated to role of co-pilot.
Luna was perfectly content to stay in the back seat. She decided she better get some rest before she arrived back in her hometown of Miami.

This was the scene on the way home from the beach. Quite different than the chaos on the way to the beach.
Sand, sun, people and pups tire the pugs out every time.

Sunday was a gorgeous day, so we packed up the pugs and headed to the beach. The beach was bustling so there were plenty of people and dogs for the pugs to meet.

Henry surveyed the land for a bit and then parked himself in the sand and relaxed like a beach bum.

Benny was all about checking out the smells.

And look! Luna got her paws wet!

We were literally 3 houses away from home, when I ended up with 3 pooped pugs parked under a shade tree. They knew it was too early for dinner so they were in no hurry to get home. They decided to bide their time until dinner rolling around in the grass and watching the bikers and walkers that passed us by.
As I was standing there waiting for the pugs, the only thought running through my head was "Never walk a pug farther than you can carry him."
