I am so very happy that today is Friday. I’m not exactly sure why as I don’t really have any plans for the weekend. Just the usual errands and chores. It is going to be pretty hot, so I think any outdoor activity with the pugs during daylight hours is going to be out of the question. But I am sure we will squeeze in a couple of walks at night. Nothing too exciting, but I am certainly looking forward to some down time. Maybe, I could persuade the pugs to make some room for me on the lounge chair.
What about you? Do you have any cool weekend plans?

I received an e-mail from Brenda at with another update on little Romeo a few weeks ago. So sorry for the delay in getting this posted. My e-mail seems to be getting the best of me lately.
Here is what Romeo’s foster mom has to say about the little guy.
Romeo is doing very well!!! He had his staples out last Wednesday and the incision healed very well. He goes back in about three weeks so they can do the ultrasound as well as a bile test to see if the shunt is closing. His true personality is starting to come out…he is a wild little man!
I am so pleased to hear that Romeo is doing well! I also want to extend a very heartfelt thank you to all the OBP readers that rallied behind Romeo and sent a donation his way. It really means a lot to me.

Monday through Friday from about 8:00 am to 5:00 pm I function as the doorwoman for the pugs and the cat. Benjamin, Henry, Luna & Cupid make sure that I stay active by constantly wanting to go in and out of my office door. I oblige them during the week since I am sitting right there, but the weekends are a different story. They have gotten used to using that door so they try to use it on the weekends too. What do you think is the best way to explain office hours to a pug?

Looking up from my computer and seeing this is the absolute best part of my work day.
The pugs aren’t too productive in the office, but they sure are good at relieving stress!

I just received an e-mail from Brenda at Delaware Valley Pug Rescue with an update on Romeo. Brenda writes:
I have great news. Romeo is at home with his foster family recovering from the surgery and seems to be doing very well. At this point, their biggest challenge is getting him to relax and not want to play all the time. (Although wanting to play is certainly a good sign.)
The donations received to date allowed us to give the vet a down payment for the surgery so it could be performed while we continue to raise the funds necessary to cover the balance.
We are so grateful to you and your readers for all of their support and generous donations. I’ll let you know how he continues to progress, but it looks like Romeo should be ready for a new forever family in no time.
I would like to send out a huge thank you to all the OBP readers that sent in a donation. Your support means a lot to me!
If you would still like to donate you may do so be sending a check to:

Thank you pug lovers!

The pugs are waiting for me to get off work so they can go for a walk. While they wait, they like to bask in the sun and they always keep an eye out the door for other doggies out enjoying their evening walks.
