All the talk about Fall yesterday got me thinking about our last vacation to Maggie Valley, NC when we went to see the wonderful Fall foliage of the Smoky Mountains. I don't think the pugs appreciated the scenery as much as I did, but I know the crisp mountain air sure put a little spring in their step.

Last week we talked about pugs and all the crazy places they will rest their chins. Solsey was queen of the unique chin rests. She always made me laugh when I would find her doing something crazy like squeezing her self up next to a bookcase to rest her head on the leg.

You would never know it in Florida, but Fall is just around the corner and the pugs love Fall because it means it is pumpkin bread season. Today's flashback is Benjamin, Henry & Luna's ode to pumpkin bread.
Sol also loved pumpkin bread. Here is a shot from September 2009. Solsey thought she could get the bread from underneath the glass table.

This is one of my all time favorite picture of the boys. This picture shows just how much Benny adores Henry. Henry and Benny were constant playmates and when it was time to take a little rest, you better believe Benny was sure to seek out his pal Hank.

I can't remember why the pugs were not allowed into the house when this picture was taken, but they sure are putting on a great show of pouting.
The thing that struck me the most about this photo is that Luna is right there with Solsey, doing exactly what Solsey was doing. Pictures like these remind me just how much Luna loved and idolized Sol. They were alpha female partners in crime. And Luna, who is a pretty independent thinker, was always up to do whatever Solsey was doing.

I recently signed up for and uploaded all our photos to Everpix. One of the things I love about Everpix is that they send you Flashback emails. Each day, you get an email of previous pictures that you took on that day. So, it will say something like 1 year ago today, 3 years ago today or in the case of this photo 10 years ago today! When I see it put that way, I think, wow that was a really long time ago!

This picture is from Aug 2006
7 years ago this month, Henry was taking the pug tug out for a spin.
Its not until I look at a picture like this that I realize how the grey crept in for Henry. Compared to Benny and Luna his face is still very dark, but he sure does have a lot more gray than he used to!
