Pugs Gear

Pugs EyewearI was in a gas station the other day when I noticed a rack of sunglasses that were called Pugs Eyewear.  Since I have a fascination with pugs, I of course went over to check out the display.  I snapped a picture of the sunglasses with my camera phone and when I got home I did a little more research. I was able to find the company’s website - Pugs Gear.

In the store I thought the logo looked a bit like a bulldog and when I went to the site I was surprised to see pictures of a bulldog.  I looked for an about page to see if I could get more info, but I couldn’t find it.  Who knows, maybe the bulldog’s name is “Pugs”.

Oh, by the way, the sunglasses are for humans.

My dad works for the company that distributes pugs gear. You should be able to find them in most 7-11’s in your area

I bought a cool pair in Utah and gouged the lens yesterday.  I’m from Sacramento and haven’t seen them around here, so I called the distributor (Mountain View Marketing, 800-208-0070). Shawn Taggart, the district manager, gave me Qwikstop and Tesoro locations that carry them just down the street from where I work, and said to pass his name along for an exchange with the damaged pair.

I had a nice pair of Pugs also, and I want a pair just like them but don’t know where to find them. I bought my first pair in a truck stop.

I called them and they were very helpful in letting me know which convenience store by zip code carried them.

I work for Mountain View Marketing, the manufacturer and distributor of Pugs Eyewear. Correct, the dog on the logo is not a Pug, it’s a bulldog. When MVM first started up and created the Pugs Brand, the sunglass guru’s name is Steve Pugmier. I believe this is how they came up with the name Pugs. I do not know why they used a bulldog instead. I’ll have to ask.

Right now we are working on a website that will have all store locations that carry our brand. Flying J, Maverick, Tesoro, Chevron, and Walkers are some of the companies that carry our sunglasses. Although not all of the stores within the company will have our glasses. 7-11 carries i.Gear sunglasses. They are the EXACT same sunglass, but have been branded as i.Gear for 7-11 to make it a proprietary brand for them. Hope this sheds some light for everyone.

If you are a BIG fan of Pugs sunglasses, please send me your email address and phone number. We are starting a program called PPU (Pugs Power User). The goal of the program is to REWARD loyal consumers to our brand by giving them free stuff. The program is just kicking off, so we need your information if you want to get free stuff! rhonnie.vesco@pugsgear.com
